I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Shinagawa Tobu Hotel during my visit to Tokyo, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. This charming hotel offers a perfect blend of cleanliness, an unbeatable location near Shinagawa Station, and outstanding service, making it an ideal choice for tourists and business travelers alike.

From the moment I stepped foot inside the hotel, I was impressed by the impeccable cleanliness that permeated every corner. The lobby was spotless, and the rooms were immaculate, providing a fresh and inviting atmosphere. The housekeeping staff demonstrated remarkable attention to detail, ensuring that every nook and cranny was flawlessly maintained throughout my stay. It was evident that the hotel management places a strong emphasis on cleanliness, creating a truly refreshing environment for guests.

The location of the Shinagawa Tobu Hotel is truly second to none. Situated near Shinagawa Station, one of the largest transportation hubs in Tokyo, it offers unparalleled convenience for exploring the city. Whether you're a tourist eager to visit popular attractions or a business traveler needing to navigate the bustling metropolis, the hotel's proximity to the station makes it incredibly easy to access various destinations. This strategic location saved me valuable time and allowed me to maximize my sightseeing opportunities without the hassle of lengthy commutes.

While cleanliness and location are undoubtedly important factors in choosing a hotel, the exceptional service provided by the staff at Shinagawa Tobu Hotel truly sets it apart. The warm and friendly reception upon arrival made me feel instantly welcome. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met and that I had a comfortable stay. They were knowledgeable about the area, offering helpful recommendations and assistance with any queries I had. Whether it was arranging transportation or providing information about local attractions, their attentive and courteous service added an extra layer of convenience and made my stay all the more enjoyable.

In addition to its cleanliness, excellent location, and exceptional service, the Shinagawa Tobu Hotel offers a range of amenities that further enhance the overall experience. The comfortable and well-appointed rooms provide a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the vibrant city. The hotel's dining options cater to various tastes, with a delightful selection of local and international cuisine served in a pleasant atmosphere.

Overall, I highly recommend the Shinagawa Tobu Hotel to anyone visiting Tokyo. Its commitment to cleanliness, prime location near Shinagawa Station, and outstanding service truly make it a standout choice. Whether you're a tourist or a business traveler, this hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort and convenience, ensuring a memorable stay in one of the world's most...

Hotel location is great in the sense that it is at Shinagawa, but this hotel is way up a long slope, so it was really a workout dragging our luggage all the way up. There are many hotels in between that don’t require such a long walk, which can be a struggle if you are carrying heavy luggages.

Our biggest complain with this hotel is the scarcity of washing machines. We booked the hotel because it provides coin laundry service. But we realised there were only 2 washing machines (the kind with combined dryer function) in a super small laundry room. Which means each wash + dry run will take at least 2-3 hours, and you are essentially fighting with everyone in the hotel for the machines. We had quite some clothes accumulated and it took us close to 5 hours to wash and get everything dry. There is a huge lounging area right outside the laundry room which is ridiculously big and could’ve been changed into the laundry room to accommodate more machines.

Breakfast is not great. It’s the same everyday and not many things are available. If you were to purchase the breakfast adhoc it costs 2200 yen.

Parking was okay. There are a few lots in front of the hotel that you can park with a fee of 1800yen per day (payment at hotel counter). But the staff said they can’t book a lot for you. If all lots are filled you will have to park at a nearby public parking lot. I’m not sure how that works because we were lucky enough to get parking lots for the two days we needed it.

All in all, if doing laundry is a big deal to you, this hotel is a no. Also try looking at other hotels along the slope nearer to Shinagawa station to save your arms and legs if you are walking with...

We had a truly terrible experience at this hotel and would strongly advise against staying here.||||Firstly, we felt unsafe during our stay. The walls were so thin that we could hear everything from the neighboring rooms, and we genuinely thought someone entered our room while we were sleeping. This made it impossible to relax or feel secure.||||Additionally, the breakfast they offer is nothing like what is advertised on Booking.com. Instead of the breakfast buffet we were promised, we were met with a meager and unappetizing selection that hardly qualified as a proper meal. For comparison we are uploading images of what they posted on Booking.com vs. what their actual breakfast looks like. ||||To top it all off, the staff was incredibly unfriendly and disrespectful. When we addressed the fact that we felt unsafe and would therefore like to leave a night earlier, the staff laughed at us and treated us with a complete lack of professionalism and courtesy.||||After discussing with the hotel for hours, they agreed to refund us for the one night we would not stay, but instead of processing the refund correctly, they tried to scam us by deducting money from one of our cards without authorization. This is completely unacceptable and left us feeling extremely violated and mistrustful of their operations. Till this day, we are still facing issues concerning the refund.||||Overall, this hotel provided one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had, and we would highly recommend looking elsewhere for accommodation. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place...

Stayed near shinagawa station twice now. It's a great strategic location to head to different popular destinations within Tokyo. The hotel was only a short walk on a slight uphill from the station. There's a convenience store nearby, plus a small shopping/restaurant plaza at the corner and pachinko for those interested. They had some cute exclusive chocolate treats available in the lobby that were great for souvenirs! They also have a small restaurant attached, bottom floor. *Not to mention a "Kura" sushi spot a short walk away.* The rooms were average size for the japanese standard hotels but were comfortable for two still. Just a heads up, there is construction across the street and in the area. If you're like us Up Early & Stay Out Late, Then it shouldn't be of any concern; to be honest. Would definitely stay again at this hotel if available, it was great price per location & comfort level.

Very close to Shinagawa station. It is up the hill to the hotel, so it was difficult to get there with 2 big suitcases in Summer. It is a decent hotel. The staff was very professional, very nice. I felt comfortable. There are all necessary things - 2x laundry machines, vending machine with drinks and food, coffee for free… The facility needs face-lift. The rooms are too small for my suitcases. The toilet is half working. The electric kettle took 10min to boil just a cup of water. The chair is so heavy to move in the small room. Breakfast does not have selection. The thing that bothered me the most is zero soundproof. There is at least 1cm gap at the bottom of each room door. I could hear everything through the door. This hotel is for business people traveling light, needs a place to sleep near Shinagawa.

The room I was assigned on the 7th floor was not “renovated” as others have described of their rooms. Hotel is very old, definitely not 3-Star Hotel. 3 months ago I stayed at another Tobu hotel and was so impressed that I booked this location, but I regretted it immediately. Note: Hotel is on steep slope up from station, my room had black mold in the ceiling, air condition can only be set to “L, M or H” (no temperature control and air coming out felt warm), no air purifier/humidifier in room, hotel is very old and not very clean. I wish I had taken more photos. They allowed me to cancel my booking within an hour of checking-in after I scrambled to find a replacement hotel. Maybe OK to stay for 1-night but I had booked for multiple nights. Would not recommend.
