This is the first accommodation I stayed in as part of a that included both far northern and southern Laos, to Vat Phou. The vehicle I used, a four-wheel drive Ford pickup truck was hired from and returned to Luang Prabang. ||Arriving in LPQ on the 16th of February, I wanted to pre-book a room close to the AVIS car rental office on Sisavangvong Road. February is well into the peak of tourist season here and most hotels/guest houses on the booking sites were relatively expensive. ||I booked this accommodation through Booking.com and paid in advance on a credit card. The total price, billed to the card was $37.80 USD. I thought that the price was a bit high for this type of property, but this is currently what you are dealing with during high season.||The room and bathroom were small, but clean comfortable, and well-appointed. The air conditioning, hot water, and wi-fi worked well. The bedding, towels, etc. were good.||A simple continental breakfast was included in the price. I was delighted to see fresh croissants served, a real treat. ||The staff were very friendly...
Read moreThe place is new , And reception is super friendly, The room has a descent design , Except for the sink in the bedroom, No space in the bathroom.
The room we where in was a bit small, like 15 sqm definitely not more , And unfortunately the only window is behind you when laying in bed , so it feels like there are no windows , So it's a little but pricy, for what you get. Unfortunately I did not manage to sleep more then a few hours as the beds are super hard , and if you are a side sleeper it's not really good , We checked out after 1 night ( was supposed to stay 3 ) As we where about to leave they told us they have bed toppers , ( as a few people have remarked on the beds I guess) Which would have been great to know when we arrived. Would have been great if there was a sign in reception or in the rooms , it's a cute place , maybe the other rooms are better , with a mattress topper I would have definitely given this...
Read moreReview of Luang Prabang Village Hotel (Villa Wanika) I had a wonderful stay at Luang Prabang Village Hotel (Villa Wanika). The staff were extremely helpful and made my visit comfortable and enjoyable. I stayed in Room C3 downstairs, which was quiet, cool, and spacious. The room had everything I needed—a comfortable bed, fridge, coat hangers, and a nice shower with good-quality toiletries. The breakfast was modest but satisfying, with croissants, fresh fruit, tea, and coffee—a simple but pleasant way to start the day. The location was perfect—close to the Mekong River, Night Market, and Mount Phousi. It was also conveniently situated for watching the morning alms-giving procession, a beautiful cultural experience. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its great service, comfortable rooms, and excellent location. A lovely place to stay in...
