The aesthetics are reflective of French architecture, as is the rest of the city.
The staff is friendly and accommodating, as are the cleaners.
The free breakfast with our booking was amazing and all you can eat. The courtyard seating was location across the street from the hotel right on the Mekong river which was gorgeous to soak in every morning.
Our room (109) was well put together, clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. A few recommendations for this room: more lighting is needed for general use through out the day both French doors need blackout curtains, it’s too light during nighttime. the shower head needs replacing due to it being completely calcified.
I hate to nitpick, it really isn’t in my character, I try to find joy in everything and adapt in unfavourable situations. But I think more people would enjoy their stay if these few things were worked on.
Besides that, I absolutely loved my stay and would come back. Great price, great people and a great morning...
Read moreI stayed for a night in the traditional main wooden villa as a non tourist. Rooms are quite small with good AC and comfortable, firm beds. Ceiling fan available during cool nights. Bathroom amenities were fine and a fridge and lcd tv provided. Wifi worked okay. More power sockets would have been better. I really liked water provided in glass bottles rather than plastic disposable ones. I had a good night's sleep with zero traffic noise.
Daily breakfast was across the street and i had eggs, pancakes, coffee, fruits and nice bread toasted over charcoal. A great way to start the day as the cafe was by the riverside with a super view of the Mekong.
All staff were helpful and warm and the bellhop, front desk staff will help you get taxis or tours. They all spoke great English.
One of the reasons i chose this guesthouse was the location. Close to laundromat, minimart, foreign exchange, cafes, bars, spa and the night bazaar, i could walk everywhere without...
Read moreIf we come to Luang Prabang in the future we will definitely choose this hotel again. I remembered passing by this hotel and impressed by its beautiful lobby. Then we decided to move here when we were sick and desperately needed a good rest. We were able to check-in early and extended the room with a reasonable price.
The staff was very reliable - he helped to send my partner to hospital when he was sick, and booked the train tickets for us.
The room is beautiful, rustic and bright, high ceilings, good ventilation. The location is perfect - just across the road or down the way there are many restaurants and cafes by the river. The back street is very beautiful and tranquil.
We've been staying in different hotels here during our trip, lots of them were overpriced during the peak season, but we are very satisfied with this one. Highly recommend. Thank you...
