Read moreI highly recommend Sa Sa Cruise!👍🏻👍🏻
The sunset was beautiful, but what I really enjoyed was the atmosphere of the boat! It felt like one of the most charming boat on the mekong river.
When you board, they serve you peanuts and welcome drink. I ordered a lao mojito, and it was decent. The menu is also quite affordable, so if you haven’t dinner yet, it is a great idea to enjoy the diner on the cruise🚢🥘
There are also some unique activities during the trip. On the second floor, there is a fish tank where you can release fish into the river while making a wish. Another activity is to write your hopes and worries on a banana leaf, tie it to a stone, and throw it into the river. You can also simply think about your wish quietly, but I chose to write mine down with a pen. That moment was very meaningful for me! It gave me time to reflect on my thoughts, something I don’t usually do in daily life. Doing it together with others made the experience even more special!😊
This cruise was not only beautiful but also gave me a very peaceful and memorable experience!

Read more“Book” at your own risk! And by book I mean inquire as we booked 6 months in advance and were told they sold our tickets anyways! So no, you can’t actually book.
Arrived prior to check in time and the French gentleman - who spoke no Lao - told us he had actually sold our tickets and to wait and see if we could probably get on the next cruise but the price was double our booking price - we said ok, that’s fine I guess.
Waited ~25 minutes (because, again, we showed up close to 15 minutes before their requested check-in time) until 5 minutes remained before the next cruise was to leave and he said sorry, he just sold the last tickets to a few solos who had just rolled up to fill up the rest of the boat.
Thankfully there were local sunset boats - locally owned - with ample beer, food, and friendly locals willing to give us the same experience a few blocks down.
Low quality company - low quality person - low...
