Embark on a Memorable Journey with Sasa Cruise along the Mekong River in Luang Prabang

During our enchanting voyage aboard the Sasa Cruise, we were presented with a unique opportunity to partake in a meaningful ritual. The attentive crew encouraged us to write down our wishes and concerns on delicate banana leaves, symbolizing a powerful act of release. As we gently released these leaves into the flowing waters of the majestic Mekong River, a profound sense of liberation and hope washed over us.

This extraordinary experience left an indelible mark on our hearts. It served as a poignant reminder to always look forward to the best that lies ahead, while simultaneously letting go of the burdens and challenges that weigh us down. The act of releasing our wishes and problems into the river was a powerful metaphor for embracing a fresh start and embracing the possibilities that await us.

The Sasa Cruise itself was a testament to luxury and comfort. The attentive crew ensured that every moment of our journey was filled with warmth and hospitality. As we glided along the tranquil waters, we were treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes, further enhancing the serenity and tranquility of the experience.

In conclusion, our time aboard the Sasa Cruise was nothing short of extraordinary. It provided us with a unique opportunity to reflect, let go, and embrace the beauty of new beginnings. If you're seeking a remarkable adventure that combines breathtaking scenery, heartfelt rituals, and a sense of renewal, look no further than the Sasa Cruise along the Mekong River in...

I highly recommend Sa Sa Cruise!👍🏻👍🏻

The sunset was beautiful, but what I really enjoyed was the atmosphere of the boat! It felt like one of the most charming boat on the mekong river.

When you board, they serve you peanuts and welcome drink. I ordered a lao mojito, and it was decent. The menu is also quite affordable, so if you haven’t dinner yet, it is a great idea to enjoy the diner on the cruise🚢🥘

There are also some unique activities during the trip. On the second floor, there is a fish tank where you can release fish into the river while making a wish. Another activity is to write your hopes and worries on a banana leaf, tie it to a stone, and throw it into the river. You can also simply think about your wish quietly, but I chose to write mine down with a pen. That moment was very meaningful for me! It gave me time to reflect on my thoughts, something I don’t usually do in daily life. Doing it together with others made the experience even more special!😊

This cruise was not only beautiful but also gave me a very peaceful and memorable experience!

“Book” at your own risk! And by book I mean inquire as we booked 6 months in advance and were told they sold our tickets anyways! So no, you can’t actually book.

Arrived prior to check in time and the French gentleman - who spoke no Lao - told us he had actually sold our tickets and to wait and see if we could probably get on the next cruise but the price was double our booking price - we said ok, that’s fine I guess.

Waited ~25 minutes (because, again, we showed up close to 15 minutes before their requested check-in time) until 5 minutes remained before the next cruise was to leave and he said sorry, he just sold the last tickets to a few solos who had just rolled up to fill up the rest of the boat.

Thankfully there were local sunset boats - locally owned - with ample beer, food, and friendly locals willing to give us the same experience a few blocks down.

Low quality company - low quality person - low...

Wanted to go on Khopfa Cruises, but they didn't have a cruise that day. Went with Sa Sa and thought we were going on the boat which they show on all the photos, but ended up on a small single deck boat. Went up to the bar after not receiving any of the included drinks or snacks 45 min into the cruise. The included cocktail looked like a Mojito made with still water and no ice with a few wilted mint leaves (see photo). Not sure if it contained alcohol. The snacks consisted of 2 bites of toast with tomato & onion. Saw the host/owner interacting with some of the other guests in French, but nobody interacted with us. We became bored after about 1 hour as there is only so much to look at scenery-wise. The music was nice and played at a good volume level, unlike some of the other degenerate boats on the river.

Just walking by, at first we didn’t notice this bar (you just see some ads for the Sasa Cruise) but after checking it out, the manager pointed out the lovely terrace just below the bar down by the riverside. In my opinion this part downstairs is even better than the small (but nice) terrace, as you can enjoy the beautiful sunset in a comfortable lounging chair! After sunset, there was the best bonfire which made us order a lot more beers than we had planned, accompanied by some simple but delicious fresh spring rolls. Last but not least: the staff was very welcoming and friendly. I think by making the riverside terrace even more comfortable with a few daybeds or cushions I would give it 6 stars (and this would soon be a hidden gem). We will be back :)
