Friedrich Guesthouse — Hotel in Klaipėda

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. ||||The website gives a reasonable introduction of the hotel. We booked a deluxe room - which was very spacious. Even though the room was very large, the bedroom was very small and the beds were not very comfortable. ||||On the Saturday night - there was a very loud concert which started at around 10PM. We could not stay in the room . The band was not that great - a bit like a trial for the Lithuanian entry for the Eurovision contest . It lasted until well after midnight. ||Fortunately the passage next to the hotel had a pleasant Italian wine bar and we had a good time there. ||||Noise happens - and we were there on the weekend of the Klaipeda annual anniversary party. But when I looked again at their video on the website they mentioned musical evenings on the weekends - so it seems to happen regularly. After all this is the hotel annoying its own guests as they own the restaurant. ||||If you happen to go here - park the car on the parking of the nearby large roundabout and find the place on foot first - may save you a little bit of stress. ||||Unfortunately I could not write a better review. It was clear that the staff did their best - the breakfast was not bad at all for a small hotel and the rooms were older but well maintained...

Family (of three) was very happy with 2 nights stay for several reasons. First of all - reception and communication before the arrival. Smooth and friendly. ||Then the first impress of the room. Spacious, elegant, high quality, well maintained. You often easily can spot differences between what is advertised online and reality when arrived. It's not the case. Was surprised in a good way! ||The location is perfect if you're exploring Klaipeda and want to chill out in Old Town. Great variety of options to see around. Walking distance to many recommended restaurants and bars. ||The breakfast was another suprize in a good way. Some changes when comparing two mornings and nice number of choices for cold snacks. The only strange thing was opening hours. I never saw breakfast starting at 9:00 before. So probably this quest house won't be a first choice for Business people who want to have early meal and hurry...
