IQ Baras — Restaurant in Klaipėda

I came to this bar looking for burgers, since it was fairly highly praised for them. Frankly i was very disappointed. The burgers were painfully average, i would even say below average. The only slightly above average thing in the burger was the meat. But compared to everything else it didn't save the situation. It felt that the owners did not put any extra effort in planning these burgers, the ingredients felt very average and frankly, out of place, as if someone made them at home with everything store bought and absolutely no creativity. The side dishes . . .. .they were disgusting, i had onion and calamari rings. Not once ever did i try processed onion or calamari rings. The calamari was ground up, a then shaped into rings, in what i assumed was double batter (the same was for the onion rings), the taste was just bad. The outer shell soggy from the cooking oil. The "Gira" also gave off a very synthetic taste. All in all, it felt like very minimum effort food. Probably good fro the average consumer, horrible if you have at least some taste. Prices are not very expensive for a burger, it's a good burger. I can't say that they're my favourite, but they are definitely not bad. I ordered a medium grilled and it was medium grilled, so that's a plus. I had Philadelphia burger, it was juicy and tasty. But they could put more cheese, so you would feel it. Oh well, I had better ones. Taking in consideration the price, it is good. The place is in the basement, so its a bit authentic, but overall it's cozy. Music is ok, the staff is kind. But if you are going for a walk, I think you won't see this bar, so you have too look for it before. Overall I would rate it 4,5 out of 5. The two stars are only for the staff currently working there. I came and sat down in the outside part, was sitting for around 25 minutes and no one came to get my order, the waiter came outside, was talking on the phone for about 5 minutes and still didn’t notice us sitting in the outside part. For clarification we were the only table there, the lights were on and there was blankets and menus on each table. But the waiter- horrible job for letting customers sit outside and not noticing them, even despite the fact that we called “draugas” (friend in lithuanian) to catch his attention multiple times and he still didn’t notice us.
