I was disapponted with Kamikadze in Vilnius. I expected more from a Japanese restaurant. I asked for miso soup. The waitress said it’s included in the order but it did not taste miso but plain cabbage soup. I don’t understand how they justify the exorbitant price on the menu. Anyway, it was weird that the music being played on the background was Spanish at one point. I did not feel the Japanese vibe at all. The decor had trophy of a basketball team that they suppprt in the center of the restaurant, like an altar. It’s actually a restaurant with a basketball theme with ball collections and photos of the team on display. Will I come again? It’s not worth it.

A very middle of the road place. Had a chance to visit them for dinner when they served Ramen and again for their lunch menu. The lunch menu was quite disappointing. They had quite a few options for the bowls, but not one vegan option. The bowl had barely any toppings for the price. Majority of it was rice, amount of tuna was okay, but then the only veggie was an avocado that I barerly got. The miso soup was alright if you like fish flavour. If not, I don't recommend coming there for lunch since you will not like the soup and the bowl will most likely underwhelm you. Their Ramens were okay.

This small family-owned restaurant in Vilnius Old town built its reputation with simple yet very tasty Japanese food. Menu is short and offers mostly seafood, but I recommend trying their ramen too. Rich, umami-packed broth and delicious toppings make it a very comfy meal. We also tried takoyaki (cozy soft dough balls with octopus), chicken skewer (simple and good yakitori). Special mention goes to spicy marinated salmon, yellowfin tuna sashimi and salmon avocado donburi. Food is really simple, but made with passion and you can feel it. Prices are very friendly too.

First of all, the service is an absolute disaster. Sure, the place was a bit busy, but many people who came after us had already received their meals by the time the waiter came to our table. This was very frustrating. Another disappointment is that they ran out of half of the food on menu hours before closing. I guess it’s a good sign when the restaurant sells everything and gets fresh ingredients each day. But planning surely can be done better. Interior is pretty simple. Nothing extra fancy, but that’s just fine for a japanese restaurant in my oppinion. The food arrived relatively fast when it was ordered after a very long waiting. At least the main dishes and one of the snacks. The other one got lost somewhere and was ready only when we finished mains. Without warnings or anything from the waiter. Once again, shame on him. Food looks very simple at first sight (some rice + fish), but boy it was terrific! This is certainly the best japanese food in Vilnius and the competition is not even close. Both main dishes and sides are mind-blowing. To sum up: don’t go to this place if you care about the service. At least a bit. Seriously. For me the main criterion is still food quality. Simply because of this I cannot give a bad rating for...

Used to be a decent place 6 years ago (let’s take into account that there were, and still are, hardly any real Japanese restaurants in Vilnius).

This place was as close as you could get to a taste of home - though in the realm of Japanese restaurants, it still wasn’t mind blowing.

However, the quality has rapidly gone downhill and the prices have gone up even faster.

The nail in the coffin was during our last visit there. A group of 4 of us went for dinner. After paying, 3 of us went outside to wait while the 4th person used the restroom.

Well, I guess the owners didn’t realise they weren’t alone, because they were trash talking us very badly for not leaving a tip and complaining that we came to their restaurant if we had no intention of tipping (is this the US? I thought we were in Europe).

For a restaurant charging close to 15€ for most don dishes, it’s very classless.

P.S. their lunch menu is the same price as the dinner menu - just a smaller selection that gets served with a tasteless (supposedly) miso shiru :))) just something to take...

When we entered the highly recommended kamikatze It smelled like someone did a kamikatze on the fryer, the smell of old oil was everywhere.

Second ramen was Decorated and served like the chef has serious depression, without any passion. The only add on in the ramen was some corn and 1 small green leave. The soup tasted really buttery. Price to quality ration is further apart then russia entering the European Union 10 Euros is way too much We ordered rise with salmon and what can I say The Rise tastet like swiss is living in Europe union really plaine and with no Taste at all. The salmon was good!

Also stuff is friendly .! Don’t let yourself down kamikatze you...
