First of all, the service is an absolute disaster. Sure, the place was a bit busy, but many people who came after us had already received their meals by the time the waiter came to our table. This was very frustrating. Another disappointment is that they ran out of half of the food on menu hours before closing. I guess it’s a good sign when the restaurant sells everything and gets fresh ingredients each day. But planning surely can be done better. Interior is pretty simple. Nothing extra fancy, but that’s just fine for a japanese restaurant in my oppinion. The food arrived relatively fast when it was ordered after a very long waiting. At least the main dishes and one of the snacks. The other one got lost somewhere and was ready only when we finished mains. Without warnings or anything from the waiter. Once again, shame on him. Food looks very simple at first sight (some rice + fish), but boy it was terrific! This is certainly the best japanese food in Vilnius and the competition is not even close. Both main dishes and sides are mind-blowing. To sum up: don’t go to this place if you care about the service. At least a bit. Seriously. For me the main criterion is still food quality. Simply because of this I cannot give a bad rating for...
Read moreUsed to be a decent place 6 years ago (let’s take into account that there were, and still are, hardly any real Japanese restaurants in Vilnius).
This place was as close as you could get to a taste of home - though in the realm of Japanese restaurants, it still wasn’t mind blowing.
However, the quality has rapidly gone downhill and the prices have gone up even faster.
The nail in the coffin was during our last visit there. A group of 4 of us went for dinner. After paying, 3 of us went outside to wait while the 4th person used the restroom.
Well, I guess the owners didn’t realise they weren’t alone, because they were trash talking us very badly for not leaving a tip and complaining that we came to their restaurant if we had no intention of tipping (is this the US? I thought we were in Europe).
For a restaurant charging close to 15€ for most don dishes, it’s very classless.
P.S. their lunch menu is the same price as the dinner menu - just a smaller selection that gets served with a tasteless (supposedly) miso shiru :))) just something to take...
Read moreWhen we entered the highly recommended kamikatze It smelled like someone did a kamikatze on the fryer, the smell of old oil was everywhere.
Second ramen was Decorated and served like the chef has serious depression, without any passion. The only add on in the ramen was some corn and 1 small green leave. The soup tasted really buttery. Price to quality ration is further apart then russia entering the European Union 10 Euros is way too much We ordered rise with salmon and what can I say The Rise tastet like swiss is living in Europe union really plaine and with no Taste at all. The salmon was good!
