Greenage Homestay (Sutera Avenue) — Hotel in Borneo

We've travelled in asia for 4 weeks booking almost all of it through trip and although we've had some weird stays we've enjoyed them all. However this was not case when staying here which is by far the worst stay we've ever had. Upon arriving, the building was alot more rundown than the photos suggested and the location was not within walking distance to the main tourist locations. Once we got into the flat we were greeted a foul smell, stained sheets and a generally unclean/rundown environment. After further investigation the smell seem to eminate from the bathroom that reeked of feeces and urine as well as being covered in black mould. The toilet seat was stained and made the bathroom feel unusable. We stayed one night and request to change booking to just one night rather than three. This was rejected by the host and also our cancellation was rejected even though they didnt deny the false advertisement. Trip.com are yet to do anything which is disappointing. We left after the first night and found a cheaper and much nicer hotel in the centre. Honestly i would advise not staying here and going anywhere else as the rest of kota kinabalu is loveley but this place really...

My overall experience was not satisfactory. There were several issues that made my stay uncomfortable:1. Power Outages and non functioning light: The power tripped twice whenever the living room air conditioner was switched on. Moreover some lights were flickering non stop. This was quite inconvenient and disrupted our comfort.2. Dirty Washing Machine: The washing machine was very filthy as the rubber seal was never cleant before. Used disinfectant wipes to wipe it and it was black. 3. Ant Infestation: There were ants crawling on the walls, which was unpleasant and concerning.4. Unclean Public Areas: To make matters worse, there was a pile of vomit at the lift area and a massive pile of rubbish accumulated right at the carpark lift lobby entrance. This was extremely off-putting and gave a very poor impression of the cleanliness and maintenance of the building.Overall, these issues significantly detracted from the quality of my stay. The owner didn’t respond to our request/ feedback. There are few issues we were encountered during the short stay. 1. Water heater’s water is very low and on and off stopped 2. Wi-Fi ID is not able detected 3. bath towel found blood stain . No replacement is given even already feedback to the owner. 4. TV box is not functioning 5. Why the hand wash is also body wash and hair wash ? Any separate body wash and hair wash ? Only one small bottle of body wash cum hair wash and hand wash is given. Insufficient for 5 persons stay. 6. the bed mattress is very poor and low quality type.
