I've been staying here for the last 4 nights with our group of 14 young people on their Outlook Expedition in Sabah, Borneo. ||The thing that sets this place apart from the other hostels in KK is the staff. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. We've had a really warm welcome each time we've returned to the hostel from our days out. The staff seem genuinely interested in what everyone has been up to. ||Jenny kindly agreed to look after our expedition rucksacks whilst we headed in to the foothills of Mt. Kinabalu, which meant we could travel light carrying only our day sacs. ||||The hostel is immaculate. Our bedrooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels provided. Not all the bedrooms have an en-suite, but the communal toilets and showers on each floor are kept clean and tidy. The showers are also heated, which has been quite a rare find on our trip!! ||||Breakfast will definitely keep you going until lunchtime. We were served watermelon, toast, boiled eggs and muffins, along with coffee and tea brought to your table. We did not receive this level of service in any other hostel in KK...and we stayed in 5 different ones during our month long stay in Borneo. ||||The location is great. There is a coin operated launderette, a pharmacy and a convenience shop on the same street. There's ample choice of restaurants /cafes to eat at and its a short walk to all the cities attractions. ||||I can highly recommend Lavendar Lodge to solo travellers, couples, families and large groups like ours!||||A HUGE thanks to Jenny, Daniel and all the staff at Lavendar Lodge for making our stay a memorable one. ||||Hope to see you again soon!! ||||Katie, Sally, Aaron and the rest of Stroud High and...
Read moreI was stayed here 2 days and 1 nights with my fiancee. The hotel looks so great and attracting. But here I just want to said that, the staff are very rude when asking about our arrival. Hence, I was mistaken by putting my date on my check in arrival on Agoda. The staff told me to cancel my booking because of my wrongly date that I had book in. But it tooks 1 / 2 hour to settle it, and yet he didn't have an idea how to cancel our booking because this is my first time using the Agoda application. Management should train your staff how to handle and solve the problem like this and train your staff how to communicate with a guest in a proper ways, because we as a guest should have a good service not like a beggar. We paid your hotel. Secondly, a very noisy sound came from the upper level and it disturb us while we are sleeping. ||Overall the cleanliness hotel are very excellent, nice decoration around the...

Lavender Lodge is excellently arranged for school or sports groups, big groups of friends etc.
They have one floor set up with two 8 bed dorms and a study / common room. Then there are some double, twin and family rooms on the other floors.
Each dorm bed has a privacy curtain, several cubby holes, a phone shelf, it's own lamp and plug socket. The mattresses are big and comfortable and there is plenty of space under the beds for baggage.
Daniel and his staff consistently go above and beyond to arrange everything for your comfort and convenience.
I have stayed with a class of A-level Marine Science students for a week or more several years in a row and every year the facilities are better. This year the study room has hot and cold water and a fridge so students can eat and drink in the hostel,...
