I got to Miri on a busy weekend without having booked any accommodation. Every place I tried was booked out and I got lucky when M-Boutique had one room left. I initially booked 1 night as a trial (and out of desperation) but was so pleased with my find that I extended it to 3 nights. I then stayed again a few days later for another 2 nights, upon returning to Miri from out of town. In total I stayed in 3 different rooms all of which were of an equal standard. ||Pros:||Rooms were clean – basic, nice décor and comfortable.||Free wifi – good coverage on L1 & L2. Few drop outs on L3.||Pleasant staff but not too knowledgeable on things a tourist may want to know.||Next to a shopping mall, so everything you may need is readily available.||Lots of local restaurants & franchises around. ||Not quite in town but convenient enough. Eg: I walked to the Visitor Information Centre and it took me about 20 mins. I was told that a cab costs RM15 (may have been a tourist rate)||||These things did not bother me but are worth noting:||No window or safe for valuables in any of my rooms. ||No Lifts - keep in mind if you have lots of luggage.||Coffee / tea facilities & appliances are in reception area so you need to head down to get it.||No in-house restaurant but the inn has snacks & instant noodles available for purchase. Plus it's surrounded by restaurants.||||Overall a decent and well-priced place to stay. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to...
Read moreWe stayed in the 2 double beds room at level 2. Reason being because smaller bed rooms has no windows. Quite good overall. The bed is quite comfortable. You would need to ask from the reception for the hair dryer, electric kettle, ironing board & even hangers. The shower was good. The toiletries are just shower cream & shampoo fixtures. The inn is situated a stone away from the Bintang Mall & don't expect good views though surprisingly not tht nosy since it's facing the main road. 7-11 store is just a few shop lots away. Very convenient. Definitely...
Read moreThe inn is located intermediate of the shop-house so please be mind that there are rooms without window. The first step i stepped in the room i can smell the mildew odor. The pillow smell was so bad (should dry/wash the pillow, but the pillowcase is clean). We stayed for 3 nights and the reason just to get clean and sleeping. So basically we don't really mind. Maybe for the next trip will try to stay in room with window. Overall the interior design is good. Near to shopping mall and food stalls. Halal food can be...
