Pizza Hut Restaurant Bintang Plaza — Restaurant in Sarawak

I normally just brush off bad experiences and vote by going elsewhere but tonight’s experience deserved a review to help others.

On arrival the waitress directed us to their QR code menu. We have it a go but as we had Brunei SIM cards we struggled to get data and explained to the waitress, she kindly brought out a single paper menu. We order 3 pizzas between the 4 of us and 4 drinks, again they were out of orange juice so we changed the drink order. So far no big deal.

2 pizzas came out and we started eating (my wife and 18 month old child were sharing the missing pizza, controlling a hungry 18 month old when they see other eating is no easy), we shared a little. We finished the 2 pizza and after another 10 minutes questions about the missing food, it eventually arrived half an hour after the other food; we then had to wait for cutlery. We were frustrated at this point and decided to take the pizza away with us, so they proceeded to stuff it on top of itself in the smallest pizza box they had, even though it was a medium pizza. I went to pay and this is when they informed me there card machine wasn’t connected, there were no signs or indications upto this point. This resulted in me having to find an ATM and receive international bank charges on the cash withdrawal.

The worst experience of dining in happened on 1st Jan 2025. We have to wait for our drinks to arrive. The food only served after an hour and it’s cold (that means our food was left unattended without delivered to us in the first place). When we make the payment and give our feedback, the person at the cashier (i assumed the manager since she wear a different uniform) don’t even apologize and only mentioned about understaffed!! If you are understaffed, informed customer so we well aware of the long waiting time and may opt to dine elsewhere. During our waiting for foods, we even saw a lot of peoples (i count roughly around 6-7 groups with a total of almost 30 peoples) who decide to walk out because they don’t even receive any drinks nor foods. You can do better Pizza Hut. Shamed on you for not even apologizing for the bad services. We dont even finished one of the pizza because it was colder than a corpse...

I recently visited the Pizza Hut franchise at Bintang Mall Miri and had a disappointing experience with both the service and cleanliness. Despite it not being peak hours, the waiter exhibited a notably cranky and unhelpful attitude. We encountered issues with the menu app, and given previous difficulties with online ordering, we sought assistance from the waitress. Unfortunately, her sour demeanor and audible complaints were unprofessional and negatively impacted our dining experience.

To add to our dissatisfaction, we also noticed that the tables were dirty. In an unexpected turn of events, we found ourselves having to clean the tables on our own. This lack of attention to cleanliness further diminished the overall ambiance of the restaurant.
