The Gibbon Guesthouse — Hotel in Borneo

Excellent choice. Not the cheapest of budget accommodations, but well worth the money for me as it scores very high on important factors. Free Internet. Shared bathroom and toilet is very clean. Strong water pressure, and good water heater. Towel and shampoo provided. Cosy and comfy common area for whole group to lounge around. Complimentary drinking water, biscuits, bread and hot beverages at this air conditioned common area. Has a fridge, but the only thing my group used it for was beer. Very clean beds. Not typical double decker which wobbles and creaks, but built in pod-like cubicles - very solid and well designed. Has curtain, shelf, light, and power sockets. Good mattress, but pillow a bit firm for my preference. Rooms have lockers and good aircon. Convenience of electronic key card. Walking distance to shops, malls, 7-11, kopitiam, ATM. On first floor, so not suitable if you don't like stairs. Run by John, very friendly and helpful guy who also owns the restaurant behind - John's Place. The owner and staffs are approachable, clean and comfortable sleeping environment, the rooftop jazz lounge is a plus to the guesthouse! They treat guests more like family members, the owner lectured us a lot about Kuching and its must go destinations. Not to mention, the price is reasonable and especially when you're freshly graduated from college or university. It is also a good place to meet a new people and socializing. The best guesthouse in kuching. Nice and clean. Breakfast include and free toast with peanut butter or jam and tea or coffe all day long. Privete locker with enought space for your backpack. The owner is just great(jonh) he will help u in everything u ask for. Nice preasure in hot shower and the toilets were clean and tidy. The matress is really good and u have a cortine to have privacy. Just go and try it u will go back. And i almost forget the rooftop bar that is the vest place for finish your day after...
