Cha bo — Restaurant in Sarawak

I'd have given this place more stars if the service hadn't been a disappointment. 1st off, let me tell of a previous experience in this same restaurant wherein we had already ordered a certain dessert along with our mains, after we were done with our mains we requested for the dessert to come but learned they had ran out of it & had neither bothered to reserve 1 for us when we had ordered it earlier nor inform us that the dessert is no more. Through that experience, this time we thought we were smart to ask our waitress the items that are unavailable. Interestingly, she told us there are no prawns, petai & oysters. Imagine our shock because prawn is a very important ingredient in Thai foods. And so, being fans of Pad thai (a stir-fried rice noodle dish similar to our local kueh tiaw) we further inquire what ingredient would instead be replaced with the prawn in the Pad thai. At this point, we are aware of the lack of English skill of our waitress who probably also has -1 intellect. After we repeated our question many times in Malay, she finally conceded to request the help of her colleague whom although doesn't necessarily posses perfect English but at least she understood us. Through her, we received the 2nd shock to our already waning interest in the place (we were already considering leaving, you see), she told us that they do have prawns & only thing unavailable is petai! What?!!! So...what was all that about with the previous waitress?! Turns out, only a specific dish with petai is unavailable which also has prawns & oysters in it so she with the low intellect unwittingly told us that all these ingredients are unavailable...Ah...what a way to ruin my mother's birthday dinner. The manager should also be reprimanded for hiring such a lousy staff especially in a location where westerners are known to frequent. In conclusion, the food was good but that staff...

We had a wonderful time here. The location is convenient and easy to find. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming.

Food: Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the fried lamb, tomato kuey teow !

Service: Staff were attentive and polite. They made great recommendations and ensured we were comfortable throughout.

Cleanliness: The restaurant was spotless, including the restrooms.

Value: Fair pricing for the portion size and quality. Definitely worth it.

Would absolutely return and recommend to anyone looking for great food in kuching town area! Relax and live band even...

The foods and drinks are okay. A little bit expensive but its not that bad. The designs and surrounding is quite interesting. But some words on the walls are inappropriate. The staff are friendly and politely. The food came couples minutes after you ordered. They are fast😍 Juices are so fresh that made me fell in love with it 😭😭 I just hope they dont change their songs too often like 3 times in one minute. Its disturbing 🙊😂 Overall, this is a place you need to try for dinner. Make sure you don't miss it when you visit...
