Was there on a Sunday for lunch. Ambience was not too bad but location was a little way off from the main city place. Food was a total disappointment. Spent more than $600 that day just to get mediocre food.
Peking duck - I have placed an order in my reservation note and was also told there was stock upon my arrival. Was subsequently informed that only 1/2 was left. But after they served my duck, I saw them carrying out one whole duck to another table. But that’s not upsetting. The server actually used her hands although with gloves to pull out the duck skin! Who would ever do that? There is a no crispness to the skin and it was so messy! The server just dumped the skin all over the rolled crepes. The rest of the duck meat fried with noodles tasted hard too. Not to mention the noodles were tasteless and it was not even ee-fu to what they claimed in their menu!
Steamed Tiger Grouper in HK style - I paid $270 for the fish and it came out lukewarm and hard. The fish was over steamed and I can taste a very strong fishy stench. The fish was obviously not fresh. The price I paid was simply not justifiable.
Roasted chicken - it was hard and tasteless. Don’t bother to try.
Steam chicken feet - the chicken feet was skinny and doesn’t taste like the usual ones which we have in dim sum restaurants. I will think Wan Li is established and this basic dish should not be disappointing.
Toufu with mushrooms - I really think the toufu is factory made and it’s really very ordinary and it’s really not justifiable for the price I paid.
There were other dishes which I will skip. No point talking about it.
To be honest, I booked this restaurant was because of the good reviews I saw from TripAdvisor. I felt so cheated and worst of all, I brought my parents and to think that the dishes were so badly prepared. Just cannot find any good things to talk about the food. I will not recommend anyone to eat there and will never ever step foot into...

My wife and I were in search of authentic halal Chinese food which is hard to find in Singapore.
The vibes in Wan Li Restaurant were similar to that of the Chinese restaurants I went to when I visited China many years ago.
Every dish is of good quality, we mainly had their signature Peking duck and a selection of dishes from the Dim sum menu.
Some wonderful memories of the food include: The springyness of the shrimps in the dumplings The crispiness of the Peking duck skin The smoothness and softness of the interior radish cake, which was also crispy on the outside
The staff were friendly and approachable and the atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxing.
We did not manage to finish the food we ordered as we had a heavy buffet breakfast in the morning, but the staff readily packed our food for us in a pleasant looking packaging. (I recommend visiting the restaurant with enough space in your belly to maximize...
Read more4 adults and 2 kids dine in on a Saturday evening. Not much crowd, we walk in without reservation.
We ordered:
We like spicy chicken and Peking duck. Spicy chicken was crispy outside and juicy inside with right spices and goes well with rice. The Peking duck was nice, the wrap goes well with the thick sauce.
The beef didn’t taste like beef that we liked. They were overly tender. The cod fish soya sauce too thick and the taste covered the fish taste.
Henry and the service team were friendly and attentive. Thumbs up...
