I was tried Papa Palheta coffee when i stayed in Singapore, as i know Papa Palheta is a speciality coffee roaster from Chye Seng Huat Hardware, Singapore. Pulp by Papa Palheta is their flagship store in Bangsar, Malaysia. Actually this place is like a hidden place because it inside the Head office of New Strait Times Press area and it is not easy to find from the street. This place looks so simple from the outside, but when i entered in, it changed to a very comfortable area with a lot of magazines, some retro things, and also a lot of coffee beans. They are not only selling coffee, they also sell foods and other beverages. I tried their speciality coffee, Suke Quto. The taste is really good, and i even can see how they make it from the start until the coffee serve on my table. If you are a coffee lover, then you can ask them which coffee that can be matched with your taste. The service and the staff also good. This place a bit crowded at the lunch time, and many people here to take a photo outside the coffee shop. For the price, for me it is not expensive for a speciality coffee. I heard they also have a cupping sessions sometimes. If you are looking for something cold, you should try their cold brew, it taste good. And if you are looking for something sweet, they have many options of cakes and pastry.

Found this place by accident. Didn't know APW have cafes now inside. Just went to try eat some breakfast. I have to say this place is pretty cool. The cafe has a nice relaxing vibe to it and they have really nice interesting breakfasts. Can't remember the exact dish names but it involves half boiled egg with something fulfilling inside the jar. And they have this paratha bread with smoked salmon on top with one half boil egg in the middle, covered with bonito. It's really delicious and fulfilling. Coffee and juices were tasty. I can understand why people love to come here and eat their breakfast. During the weekends in the morning, it can be quite crowded and there's a queue outside which chairs outside are provided for sitting down whilst queing up. Price are pretty standard for cafes like this, range 20-30 depending what you order. But it's really great food and ambience, so I'd say it's worth it. 👌 Might even come back again to try other breakfast menu.

Staff needs to learn some basic customer service skills. Upon entering, there's a sign saying please wait to be seated. Then I got called in by a cashier staff to go order at the counter. I asked for specialty coffee and she directed me to the coffee station, where I selected my beans and another staff signaled to me that I can't order there and must go back to the cashier counter to order. I asked for a pour over with the Tabe Burka beans name. The cashier staff looks puzzled at the order. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? And she said "you want ice long black is it?" I sit opposite the cashier counter. The cashier saw me putting my bag there. And she asked "where are you sitting?". Seriously, will never come back. Good luck with this level of quality and experience. Oh and by the way, no WiFi. As if it's an unusual thing to ask for in a Cafe. When an apology isn't sincere and when customer service means nothing. What have we got left?

The café scene in KL has been bustling with many fantastic offerings, cafes and coffees.

Pulp used to be one of my favourite places for coffee, having a steady rating between 4 to 5 stars, but unfortunately, the service and quality has been a far-cry from its prime (2~ years ago) and steadily deteriorating and I must make this recent review after two recent poor experiences here in a row.

The long black I ordered, relatively simple but an important determination whether a café can master a "simple" drink, was disappointing - their long black used to have a good thick body of the espresso (over the water), making a richer, creamy coffee/top. This time, it was bland and watery, either from the poor pull or for some other reason.

Service was much to be desired as well. Dirty tables had to be requested to be wiped and cleaned. Furthermore, they are unable to determine the priority of customers' orders - allowing some customers to hog the queue and preventing customers whom are ready to order from making their queues and taking their seats. While it is arguable this may benefit one customer and detrimental to the other, it is inefficient overall for everyone and a poor reflection on the overall service.

Management should investigate and do a few secret audits (maybe even review CCTV) - to ensure consistency. It is a shame that Pulp has come down to this and I hope they can bounce back and invest back into the café offerings and service (rather than issuing promotional coffee or influencer advertisement) to give the same consistent quality and service they are previously known well for and made...

A small Cafe hidden among industrial building. It's small in size with limited seating but is clean and spacious. Their breakfast menu is until 12noon (last call 11.45am). Apart from the menu, they have pastries displayed beside the cashier. The Chicken Pot Roast is surprisingly a disappointment for such a well prepared dish; U are greeted with a cocktail of potatoes and homemade baked beans with the chicken thigh placed on top in all glory with smooth brown baked sauce coating topped with chives. The side dish taste good but a bite into the chicken unveil a shocking disappointment as your mouth fills with ultimate saltishness (the chef confirmed that this is the taste). The chicken should be infused with flavour instead of saltishness, to make it tasty. Pecan Pie is nice (Big Pecan with outer hard Biscuits and soft Inner fillings, well balanced indeed). The food in Papa Platter seems a little simplified (one sausage, one hash brown, egg on plain brown bread with a mini bowl of mushroom & cheese, fruit & tomato) for the high price. A thing to note though is that service is good and they acknowledge customers concern. There is only indoor seating. There are high chairs here. There is only valet parking here at RM16...
