Gravybaby Bangsar — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

I have been a loyal customer at this restaurant for a long time, consistently enjoying the food and coffee. Unfortunately, I have to drop my rating from five stars to one due to the repeated, outright rude behavior of the supervisor or manager Rana and the complete lack of accountability from management.

Recently, I ordered a coffee and once the foam settled the cup was barely half full. Considering this abnormal I sent my staff to politely request a replacement. Rana was on duty and responded by lashing out telling my staff to stop buying from the restaurant. When my staff reminded him I am a regular customer he had the audacity to ask how much I spend monthly adding that a single bill from another customer could exceed that amount. The arrogance and disrespect were staggering.

This was not an isolated incident. On a previous visit when I jokingly mentioned I should get a platinum membership he replied with the same rudeness directly to me. I have been patient even sympathetic understanding it is not easy for a foreign worker from Bangladesh to make a living abroad. But instead of improving his behavior has only become more unpleasant. Other customers have also flagged his attitude in their reviews which clearly shows this is not a one-off case.

What makes this worse is the management’s silence. A formal complaint was sent to the general manager yet there has been no reply. No apology. No action. No acknowledgment. The complete lack of professionalism from the top is frankly disgusting.

The rest of the staff are generally polite and professional. Sadly their good service is being overshadowed by one person’s toxic attitude and management’s failure...

Had placed booking to celebrate Xmas dinner on 25th Dec’21, but unfortunately met a rude response from their Supervisor, Rana whom questioned myself, my fiancée and my friends whether we have entered and sit in the right table whereby I am the person who placed the reservation, approved by their staff and ushered in to sit in the designated table. Their supervisor had the audacity to challenge all of us rudely and said that ‘did we entered and sit in the table by ourselves without checking with their staff?’ This makes no sense as it’s their staff who ushered us in Aside from that, the supervisor challenged my wife and even blame us for not having a menu book on the table, hence his assumption that we simply sit into the table by ourselves without proper check in by their staff which is totally outrageous and makes no sense at all! We were caught off guard as we did not break the rules and followed Covid guidelines as stated by our government, the best part is their staff are the ones who gave us the seating tables which I have booked in advance Their supervisor, Rana was very rude to myself and my family and scolding us back for raising our concerns to him in regards to his rude behaviours which we have decided to walk out of the restaurant Kindly avoid this restaurant at all cost due to their Supervisor, named Rana for his rudeness, lack of hospitality in the f&b industry standards, having the audacity to blame customers whom had not done anything wrong at all and are not willing to apologise to us when we have done nothing wrong A very bad & unpleasant experience , very rude staff coming in from their...
