I did not have a hearty welcome at this hotel. First, the airport taxi had a very hard time it. The sign of the hotel was way up high that it's hard to be seen from the road level. My taxi driver was super pissed when he kept on making around and round the area to find the sign of this hotel. Once you get off the taxi, it's still hard to find the way to the hotel! It's on second floor. If you have heavy/many suitcases, forget about booking this hotel as it does not have elevator or escalator!! ||||Finally I reached the reception, the woman said that my room was given to others as I had told them that my arrival time was 9:00 a.m. and not 6:00 p.m!! I was shocked to death. I had used bookings.com to book this hotel. I had confirmed with the hotel twice via email. They had asked about the arrival time, I had given the arrival time of my plane to Malaysia. Check-in time of hotel was 2:00 p.m. My plane was delayed and also had to detour. I had been travelling for 3 whole days by then. I was exhausted...and here they told they gave my room to someone else because my arrival time was delayed!!!!!! They said I should have communicated with them about plane being delayed and detour.. I was shocked. I was in the air! Also, I had done what they had asked me to do previously. I was there on the day but not exactly on the check- in time of 2!! I was super duper pissed when they asked me to book somewhere else. I was dumb founded at that time. I was very tired, thirsty and sleepy but I muster some effort to say that I wasn't going anywhere and they were supposed to arrange something. They did arrange another place near by, it was super tiny room with even smaller bathroom with handsoap/bath/body soap in a water bottle!!! Then the mosquitos biting me immediately...holy cow!! As I was exhausted, I slept one night at this mosquito infested tiny noisy room.||||Next day, I went back to the hotel and asked them to bring my suitcase and place me in some room "with window" as promised. I got it this time. Room was decent sized with basic things and clean. Bathroom was clean too. I did have difficulty with shower. It had lot of switch/button to reset/test/and something else written (forgot what the 3rd button said). I am 5'2 - petite woman, If I was shorter than this I couldn't reach to these buttons. Now, the pipe to the shower kept detaching out... it made me laugh. I kept wondering what else could go wrong!!||||The price of a hotel is very affordable. It is centrally located. The staffs were nice. They do arrange cab to airport. Place is clean. They do not have place to put luggage(s) once you check-out or before you check-in. Though they keep it...
Read moreAs already mentioned below, the hotel is so hard to find, there are various other hotels in front and next to it whose name also preceded with 'Gold'. See below for the description on how to find it. ||1) Booking.com are rubbish. They definitely charge you more than what it would cost you for turning up on the day, I guess this is only natural, but we booked the deluxe room, which in the picture clearly shows a room with a window. Receptionist said that the room will only have a window if you booked a room with 'window' in its name. Ok, I'll let it slide, it's two nights we were going to stay. Whatever.||2) The bathroom has some questionable electrics next to the shower. (A plug with switch next to the shower). I guess if you don't spray the head around, you'd be ok and won't kill yourself (it's a wet room so no curtain/shower cubicle)||3) No storage for luggage past 1pm, maybe I've been spoilt in having hotels they have accommodated this previously, storage was in the form of the hotel lobby next to the main entrance.||The worst part was how the hotel sold itself as being soundproof, despite getting woken up by next door, which were where the hotel employees were staying we think, regardless, it was so noisy and you can hear everyone in the hotel closing doors etc. the room itself was clean but felt really dirty, can't describe why.||The only plus point was how central the hotel was, but for the price, we would pay much more to get an 'official' hotel, not a floor in a 4 floor block that converted 10 tiny sized rooms so small you couldn't even swing a cat. ||We are back in KL on two weeks time and will look to book an actual hotel in KL, not one of...
