Paretto Seaview Hotel — Hotel in Langkawi Island

The first night, when I went to get into my bed, I pulled back the sheets to discover human hairs and a brown smudge (that I really hope was food) on the sheets. It was late, so I decided rough it for the night in hopes it was a permanent stain. When I climbed into bed though, my feet felt sand at the bottom of the bed, and the sheets and pillows smelt of body odor.

The next morning, I asked reception to assist in having the sheets changed. We came back to the hotel in the evening to check the room, saw the beds were made up, and went out for dinner, looking forward to a good nights sleep. When we came back late and I pulled back the sheets to sleep, the same brown smudge was there, and they still smelt of the same body order. The cleaning lady just made the beds, not changing the sheets.

The following day, even worse…the cleaning lady only made up one of the twin beds (of course, not changing the sheets), and didn’t even touch mine.

There were other numerous complaints about the cleanliness (coffee lips marks on the mugs, dirty mop water streaks on the floors, trash left in the hallways for days, etc.), but the worst was the used sheets and the smelly towels.

I write this review in hopes that management reads it and provides the cleaning staff and front desk staff with the professional development they need, to increase the health of safety of the facility.

For future guests, I think this hotel has a lot of potential. If you’re staying one night, I advise to reconsider. If you’re staying many nights, perhaps just consider that it may be worth spending the first part of your vacation time at the laundry, washing the sheets and towels to fully enjoy your stay and prevent disease...

Location and amenities was excellent! Near to pantai chenang and duty free shop building. There is laundry, shell out restaurant and massage right beside to the hotel. Parking was limited but able to get a lot nonetheless. There is a clean vending machine at the entrance of the hotel which sells drinks and snacks making it convenient for the stay. We stayed at the non sea view room but could hear the music during night time but only up till midnight. There is only one lift serving the hotel. The hotel room itself is basic. The main door still use key lock which is not secure if u forget to lock the door. The floor is abit dusty/sandy. The bed linen has stains and hair strands. The stairs to the toilet is redundant and inconvenient. Toilet water pressure is medium. Not too little and too high. Toilet looks old and have yellowish stains embedded to the sink and toilet bowl. Cracks on wall tile in toilet and in the room wall. The only pests is ants tt came out from the wooden crate. Service- receptionists was friendly and answered to our questions well. Housekeeping is excellent they sweep and dust off bed. Overall the stay was ok. If you are looking for basic hotel needs, it is a good hotel to stay in due to its location. this hotel has so much potential to be a great hotel if only the mgmt improve on the cleanliness and condition by renovating on the facilities and condition...

Rooms actually look like pictures. Love the location. Unfortunately, cleanliness is the number one issue here. Every single corner of the room was topped with dust and sand dust. From the living room coffee table, dining table, TV console table, next to the mini fridge, vanity table and also the safe box. I couldn't put my things anywhere except the bed! I didn't sit on the balcony bcs the chairs were dusty so I didn't bother to wipe it down. The toiletries were clean but I found the water would puddle up and took some time to drain down. Hence, it was difficult to wash down the sand properly. Water pressure wasn't good. Tv was only in the living room, and not an issue for me. Based on the reviews I brought my own night lamp, otherwise you'll have to sleep in total darkness if you're not used to it. Otherwise, with the strategic location and size of the rooms, they could've potentially do so much more. With my room type, I actually like the balcony bcs I can observe the crowd at cenang day to day. If they really take care of the cleanliness and upgrade the furnitures here and there, I will recommend it otherwise it's a no. Oh, i really hate the door it was hard to lock and unlock with the keys. There wasnt any water boiler in the room too. Maybe you have to request idk. I didnt touch the instant drinks anyway...
