Nestled along the scenic walk of Jalan Pantai Chenang in Langkawi, Shell Out Restaurant caught my eye as a spot for breakfast. The small eatery exuded a welcoming vibe, with its tidy appearance and attentive staff. Upon entering, I was greeted by a team of neatly dressed staff members, and the cleanliness was immediately apparent. The ambience was pleasant, setting the stage for what I hoped would be a delightful breakfast experience. However, my excitement waned when I perused the breakfast menu. It was disappointingly basic, lacking the variety and authenticity I had hoped for. Despite this, I decided to give it a try and ordered a meal. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met. The meal, though satisfactory, did not quite capture the essence of authentic breakfast cuisine. Additionally, the coffee, while decent, was served warm, and I had to request a top-up. Despite these shortcomings, I must commend the staff for their friendly demeanour and impeccable appearance. Their hospitality added a touch of warmth to an otherwise average dining experience. In conclusion, while Shell Out Restaurant offers a pleasant enough breakfast with friendly service and a clean environment, its lacklustre menu and mediocre food quality leave much to be desired. It is not a place I would rush to revisit, but it may appeal to those seeking a simple and fuss-free...

Why two stars...

On our final day they lied to us and served us cold food. We bought our coupons from the hotel for breakfast as we had other days and checked it was from 7am. We got down at 7.20 to be told in a disgruntled rude attitude that they don't serve till 7.30. I said I wasn't happy and they then said all the food was still frozen, as nowhere else was open I insisted they serve us. 30 min later a plate of cold food was served up. Minus the eggs that we should have had as they didn't have any. What type of place thay offers 3 types of egg doesn't have eggs...

Unfortunately this put a dampener on the place as the other two days the food had been fine for 10 myr.

But liars...

The experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. A simple breakfast took a long time to arrive, and the staff seemed disorganized, not knowing which table to serve. There was a significant time gap between serving breakfast to two people—one had already finished eating while the other was still waiting for a basic dish.

Additionally, the tables were left dirty even after previous customers had left, and no one bothered to clean them during my visit. While the breakfast itself was decent and the price attractive, the drink was overly sweet to the point that I couldn’t finish it.
