Booked this hotel via hotels.com. Travel from KL to Segamat and back to Melaka for a night stay. Booked 2 rooms. Checkin was slow. Front desk managed by 1person. He took up 3 calls for room enquiries during my checkin. Went up the room and found one of the room keycard does not allowed to access. Went down to reception and the keycard was reprogram. Still the keycard does not work and finally the front desk went up to the room together. Inserting the keycard managed to open the door, suddenly heard vrooming sound from some fan. Unpleasant checkin. Given another room it was ok but later found a 4ft cracked on the mirror was not rectified. On another room, we flip over the bed lining/deco found a big burnt hole underneath. Then later found bath towel and floor mat is not at its place. Made a complaint to their management and their reply was "its agreed the hotel fault but customer also have to understand it is peak period, so many things may have went wrong". However, one thing I am very sure is the room rate has alao went up during peak period. Decide to stay or not is up to you..but for me is NEVER EVER...
Read moreI rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The room I was given was in poor condition from the moment I walked in. The air conditioning was barely working—it wasn’t cool even after running for over an hour. In a warm climate, this made the stay very uncomfortable.||The cleanliness was another major issue. The bedsheets had visible stains, and the toilet wasn’t properly cleaned. When I approached the reception about this, the staff told me the hotel was fully booked and they couldn’t offer a room change. They claimed the stains were “unremovable” and not actually dirty, but that didn’t make it any better. Hygienic standards should never be compromised in hospitality.||I was also told the air conditioner had just been replaced, but it was clearly very old and inefficient. I understand not every hotel is perfect, but basic expectations like a clean room and working aircon should be met.||This stay left a very bad impression, and I will definitely not be returning. I hope management takes feedback seriously and improves the maintenance and cleanliness for...
Read moreMy friends and I I have a horrible experience at Midcity Hotel Melaka on 27 /5 /2,022 . I have forgotten to bring my hotel key when we went out shopping because I thought their door lock is to use the card to tap on it but it is still using the key to unlock the door. When we came back we told the staff that my key was in the room, they use their spare keys to open the door but unable to open it. We have to wait for around two hours for them to try all the keys to open the door but still cannot open. At last they gave us a room but all our belongings were in the the room and we have to wear the same clothing to sleep.
The next day the staff is still trying to open the door and unable to open it. I have to called a locksmith to open the door. I want to complain of their staff bad attitude and the management is not quick enough to give a solution to their staff to solve it. I asked the staff to call the manager and I want to talk to her but she keep on telling me that cannot get her.
I also saw guests came down to lobby to complain of the air conditioning is not working and the TV all channels has a...
