Stay Duration : 8th Octo - 10th Octo 2021.||Room : 720 (Deluxe with breakfast).||||Location : Just fits the name of Sentral Hotel, this hotel is centrally located in the heart of Bandar Hilir (BH). The area is lively and the surrounding isnt so unsavoury. Just within a short distance walking is the famous Malacca River. And there are countless eateries around the area. It is within walking distance to the Historical Centre if you feel like a good walk and by car, it only took 3 mins to get to the heart of the old town, passing the scenic Little India, St Francis and the red wall of the dutch architecture.||||Reception and check in : We stepped in the lobby around 12pm and we were told that the check in only starts around 2pm. We decided to hang around in the lobby and by 12.20pm, I was called to the counter. My room is ready and they are releasing it an hour and half hour early, LUCKY ME. I had a simple chat with the warm and nice reception, Miss Aisyah. She is very caring and very polite. I worked in a hotel before so we had a chat about the business and the occupancy traffic. She is very responsive to our small conversations.||||Room : 720 is very spacious and clean. The carpet is old but surprisingly clean. The windows are clean and the bathroom is spotless. The 2 wooden chairs are very helpful for me to gaze upon the city view. The view is amazing. The only downside is the water pressure. It is a bit too low for my room.||||Breakfast : The breakfast is served as buffet and the area is okay. The food varieties are good. 9th Octo : Nasi Lemak, Kuey Tiau, Bubur, Potato Tots, Sausages and soup station for noodles. On the 10th Octo : Lontong, Noodles, Bubur and soup station. The salad varieties are very good however the thousand island dressing is a bit too sour for my 2 days there. Other than that, all are okay. Food are tasty, quantities are nice. I miss the potato tots, they arent around on the second day.||||Swimming Pool : Small but adequate for me. When the guests go to the breakfast lounge, we shot to the 10th floor and have the pool to ourselves. It was nice and well maintained.||||COVID SOP : Observed in most areas. They checked all guests' mysejahtera during check in, entering pool and the buffet lounge.||||Satisfaction :...
Read moreI recently stayed at this hotel and had a very disappointing experience. Here’s a detailed review of the issues I faced: Air Conditioner: The air conditioner was not functioning properly, making the room uncomfortably hot. Shower Problems: The shower was damaged, there was no shelf or holder to place soap, and the hotel failed to provide basic toiletries like shower gel and conditioner, despite claiming to do so online. Room Lighting: The lighting in the room was extremely dim and unsuitable, especially for functions like bridal preparations where good lighting is essential. Breakfast Quality: The breakfast was terrible – very limited options, poor taste, and overall bad quality. Insufficient Amenities: Although we booked for four people, the room was only equipped with towels and toothbrushes for two. This lack of attention to detail was very disappointing. Unpleasant Toilet: The toilet had a persistent bad smell, and the sink water was clogged, causing inconvenience. Drinking Water Issues: No mineral water was provided in the room. While a water dispenser was available in the lobby, the water tasted like tap water and was not drinkable. Room Cleanliness: The overall cleanliness of the room and bathroom was below standard, which affected the comfort of our stay. Customer Service: The staff seemed indifferent to these issues and didn’t offer any proactive solutions when we raised our concerns.
This hotel failed to meet basic standards of comfort, cleanliness, and service. I would not recommend staying here, especially if you’re looking for an stress-free and...
Read moreThe worst hotel ever encountered. Ongoing complaint which is dragging for 4 days now (still no solution).||Booked and paid via Online Travel Agent (Trip.com) for a Deluxe Family Room which includes daily breakfast for 5paxs.||Upon arrival, the grumpy front desk staff requested ID for verification. When asked on the breakfast, it was mentioned that breakfast were not included thus additional fee is applicable should we wish to consume the breakfast. We tried to show our booking confirmation however front desk was not interested or bothered to look into it. ||So throughout the stay, we did not consume any breakfast. Upon completion of stay, we brought this issue up to Trip.com for compensation. As we purposely booked a room that comes with breakfast (at a higher cost of course!) and it was clearly stated on our booking confirmation. Yet our inclusions were being denied.||After 4 days of going back & fourth, today out of nowhere hotel mentioned that our family did consume the breakfast on daily basis during our stay as our booking was inclusive of breakfast. Now imagine how shocked were we to hear that. Unless there is a doppelgänger during that time? ||We are requesting for hotel end to provided us with a concrete evidence showing that our family members were physically consuming breakfast (I mean they have CCTVs on ground).||Am still waiting for hotel response on this. Very shocked to hear from nothing to suddenly saying oh you did consume breakfast during your stay. Very interesting on the hotel’s end...
