This review is on the rude customer service experience that i have encounter. First i have booked a room via booking.com and requested for the "free baby cot upon request" and i had received an acknowledgement message saying it it subject to availability hence i wanted to enquire further how does it work but no reply. Later i cancelled the booking and rebook again to add an additional room. Not even any acknowledgement on the request not to mention getting clarification from them. (refer to screenshot, booking done on 25 Nov, asking for request update on 1 Dec no response) I called up to enquire about it and i was greeted "pleasantly" by a defensive customers service representative when i told her i had this booking via booking.com and hasn't gotten any reply on the request. She went on and said it is subject to availability that they can't confirm as it is the hotel policy and only can confirm when we arrived as though im here to dispute the "subject to availability". I went on to say "i understand" 3 TIMES, she did not allow me to continue my sentence at all and keep going on and on with the policy thingy until i said hey im speaking right now twice to her and she kept quiet. i told her i understand and i just wanted to say that it would be nice if you are a little more responsive to the msg on the booking platform and she went on with the policy again and i just hang up the phone. Right after the call i received the msg reply reinstated that they have received many request and it is the hotel policy with a first come first serve (mind you in capital letter) approach (may refer to screenshot attached). Also, my request on the connecting room wasn't addressed at all. Not even apologetic on the late reply yet got treated as though im here to dispute and beg for their service. After much consideration as a potential paying customer that i don't deserve such treatment and dare not even take the gamble to proceed with the booking, who knows what awaits me on site. Book at your own risk.

Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price TLDR: Booked the premiere suite at nearly RM400 per night but checked out the same day. The air-conditioning was faulty, reception was unresponsive, and the lifts were overcrowded with long delays. Staff professionalism was also questionable. For the price, far better options are available elsewhere. Full Details: I booked the “premiere suite” at nearly RM400 per night but decided to check out on the same day due to multiple issues that made the stay unpleasant and stressful. While I understand this is a 3-star hotel, the service, facilities, and overall management fell short of even basic expectations. - Air-conditioning: The unit only blew warm air despite being on for hours, and it kept shutting off automatically every 30 minutes. When I tried calling reception, no one answered. I had to go down personally—after long lift delays and even taking the fire escape part of the way—to report the issue. Unfortunately, no effective action was taken. - Lift system: The lifts were constantly overcrowded, skipped floors, and required excessive waiting. Staff advised calling the front desk so security could stop the lift at my floor, but this is not a sustainable or practical solution, especially in a 43-floor property. - Professionalism: Late in the evening, I noticed several staff members occupying guest rooms on my floor. Even if they were on duty, it gave an unprofessional impression. Overall, the suite was large but poorly planned, with no proper sitting or dining area despite the high room rate. For the price paid, I believe there are far better options available in the city.

Not Worth the Stress – Stay Away! Our stay at this hotel was a complete disappointment from the very beginning. Parking is on level 8 and 9, which is fine, but getting to the lobby was a nightmare. We had to take the lift, and it took us 30 minutes of waiting because the lifts were always full with guests and their luggage. With kids in tow, we gave up and decided to pay RM30 per day for a reserved premium parking spot just to avoid the chaos. Checking in was another disaster – we queued for 1 hour just to get the room key. After that, it took another 10 minutes just waiting for the lift to our floor. The pool is on level 9, and once again, the lifts were a major issue. 20 minutes to go down, and another 20 minutes to get back up. The kids' pool wasn’t crowded, but some parts were malfunctioning, and the water was cold because there’s no heater – not very kid-friendly. Breakfast the next morning came with a very long queue as well. And check-out? 30 minutes just waiting for a lift from our floor to the lobby. We even saw a family with a baby waiting in the hot lift area – pity the baby! One more thing: the bathroom uses frosted glass, but you can still see silhouettes from outside. Definitely bring an extra kain batik or something for privacy. The 25th-floor view was nice – but honestly, that’s it. Everything else was stressful and frustrating. Stay away from this place if you value your time and sanity. Totally not family-friendly. We felt sorry for the kids the entire time.

It was not a satisfying stay in The Shore Hotel. There are few comments regarding the room during my stay for 2 nights. (1) Aircon in the room was not really cool to the temperature set (which is 18 degree C). The aircon took quite a long time to cool (thou it is not as cool as it should be). My friend and I were waiting for long to see how long it is going to take and lastly we just called to receptionist requesting for maintenance on the aircon. After maintenance and reset the aircon (which they claimed the aircon is not functioning due to the door to balcony is opened, thou my friend and I did not open it at all), the aircon is finally giving off cool air. Still, ya, it is not functioning well which keep on and off just like being set (both of us keep checking on the remote that we do not set any timer). (2) The room telephone is not working. We realized that when we wanted to call for room service and maintenance. It ended up we called to the hotel hotline with our cellphone to request for room service and inform them on this issue. The broken room telephone was fixed and replaced with a new one. (we even ask the man who come for fixing to help check the aircon also but he also think that it’s not cool at all. He suggest us to change room) (3) The beds were way so dirty! There were traces of hair and unknown stains found on the bedsheets when we were going to rest and take a nap. It was truly terrible and unforeseeable for a 3-stars rate hotel. We called to complain about this immediately. Room service took more than 30minutes to come. To my surprise, the housekeeper even want to change into a new bedsheet with stains as well. After changing, the bed cleanliness become much more acceptable. (4) Some parts of the room were dusty, especially under the bed, TV and cupboard. Even the remote controller for TV! My friend and I tired on so many problems found in this room, and decided to overlook this as we just wanted to get a good rest. (All the TV programs were not available as well, not sure of what reason) (5) Lights : The lights in the toilet (at the sink) is not working. The hallway light (our doorstep) was not functioning as well. The hallway seems dark and uncomfortable when we walked through it, especially at night. Only the light is work near the lift. (6) We request for a quiet room so we can rest properly. But, the noise cancellation is poor. I can understand if there’re people talking on the hallway to their rooms but what’s with the walking noises? Even the door closed from the room opposite ours is can be heard. Is this so called the good-rated hotel? (7) The way for them to handle this kind of issue is poor. After we found out so many problems, we request to change another room. They told us to wait and check the room availability first. And so we waited. They sent someone to check on us and the room. We did told him all the problems and request to change room. But, he avoid our request and ask if we're comfortable after they tried to settle our issues. They are not performed professionally in...

My recent work trip involved a 3-day, 2-night stay at this hotel, booked via booking.com well in advance, which allowed me to take advantage of a favourable rate. Its location proved to be exceptionally convenient, situated right next to where my professional course was being held. The added benefit of being adjacent to the Swiss Garden hotel, with a direct connection between the two properties, further enhanced its accessibility.

On the positive side, the hotel's central location is a significant asset, particularly with the nearby ferry terminal offering potential for exploration. The convenience of having convenience stores and various restaurants located downstairs made it incredibly easy to obtain necessities and find dining options without needing to travel far. Compared to other hotels in the surrounding area, the price felt quite reasonable. The provision of complimentary WiFi within the room was a welcome amenity, and the early check-in at 12 pm was a definite plus after a long journey. Upon entering my room, I found it to be considerably clean and neatly presented. It was also adequately equipped with essential facilities, including an iron and ironing board, a television, reliable WiFi access, and basic toiletries such as body shampoo. I was also pleased to note that the room was free from any unpleasant smells, indicating a good standard of upkeep. The bed was comfortable and furnished with a thick, standard hotel blanket, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep.

However, several negative aspects impacted my overall experience. The consistently long wait times for the lifts, often stretching to a frustrating 15 minutes, necessitated careful planning and became a daily source of irritation. The lack of daily room service and the unclear procedure for requesting it were inconvenient. The check-in and check-out processes, conducted solely through WhatsApp communication with the person in charge, felt somewhat impersonal and less efficient than traditional hotel interactions. Furthermore, the late arrival of parking instructions led to initial confusion and having to park in an incorrect location. The swimming pool consistently appeared to be overcrowded, making it unusable. Minor inconveniences included a bathroom sink that drained very slowly and the provision of only a single access card for the room. The most significant detractor from my stay was undoubtedly the excessive waiting time for the lifts. With a mere four lifts servicing a towering 41-storey building, they were perpetually full and frequently bypassed my floor, adding a considerable and unnecessary amount of time to every movement within the hotel.

Considering these points, would I choose to stay here again? For leisure travel, the various inconveniences would likely be too significant. However, for business or work purposes, the prime location and relatively reasonable price might make it a...

Great disappointment in this place! Booked a 3 bed room apartment with tons of issues. Just for 1 night. Upon arrival, from carpark no clear directions to direct us to the lobby area, we have search blindly and ask around. After checking, we have to walked over to another tower to get to our room at level 17 which is not linked within the building, have to walked outside. After dinner, we went back to our apartment and found that there was no electricity, had to walk down to reception and they called the maintenance guy to come check. Found that it was the water heater trip the whole apartment and we were told there won't be hot water for shower. We told the maintenance guy to get the person in charge to come up as we would like to request for a change of apartment, we need the water heater for shower as we have elderly and toddler staying with us. Wait for 30mins with on one coming at all! We had to walked down again to the reception to speak to them apparently the phone in the apartment wasn't working at all. And it turns out that the maintenance guy did not pass our message to the reception! Eventually they changed us to a higher floor at level 21 as usual phone not working this time even washing machine is not working. Water heater in the Master bedroom wasn't working no hot water, what makes it more worse is after we went for jalan jalan and came back again we couldn't let ourselves into the apartment! The door scan is not working no matter how many times we tried to scan our card there was no response! Again we have to walked down to the reception and told then the issue, reception staff replaced us a new card and a staff came with us to try out, it turns out that it was door scan unit was out battery and the maintenance team are off duty! The staff use his key to manually opened the door for us to enter and finally we can rest for the night! Yes no WiFi! No untensils provided at all not even tea spoon for coffee. Overall very bad experience with this place, staff not being apologetic despite knowing that we have encountered so much issues with them, we have walked up and down to report or to get issues solved for 6 times! 3 bed room apartment are not well maintained, with such prices it is definitely not worth it! Will definitely not...
