Bayview Hotel Melaka — Hotel in Malacca

No towel change after they cleaned the room Towel bring only one towel and said this is the last piece and you can still feel it’s a bit wet not dry so not sure is used or not 4 nights stay never provide new soap and shower cap Cleaner keep calling you in the morning to disturb your sleep and rest - first day the cleaner pressed my room door so I told the cleaner pls come after 2pm. But the staff seems forget and came back to press the door bell and knocked my door half an hour later !!! Obviously the cleaner doesn’t understand English so have problem to understand simple request from the customer !! The hotel doesn’t provide international adapter or switch so I need to go out and buy the switch to charge my handphone battery Reception keep calling you during the check out day when the reception staff agreed to let me check out 1pm but the next day the day shift reception keep calling to chase you out it’s only 12:43pm !!! And the reception staff still argued with you she doesn’t receive any information from her colleague - this show the hotel reception never had good coordination or communication issue internally but even if there is no internal comm the customer can check out 1pm so why need to keep calling and chasing your customer out when it’s only at 12:43???? The hotel internet access is bad and difficult to connect for works or game - I booked this hotel was though 4 star hotel internet connection could be better but who knows I can’t even send my WhatsApp message out for half an hour so I have to take half day leave since I can’t do any much office work The shower room water initially don’t have hot water you need to wait for 5 min then the hot water will come out The hotel toilet can find many ants very scary The hotel room when stepped in you can smell the Aging smell The curtains are very old and dirty - it’s like 2 star hotel standard not 4 star I have bed bugs bite my legs and at least 8 portion bites after 2 night stayed ( the first two night don’t have bite becoz I wear long sleeping pants to sleep ) This hotel doesn’t provide safety box The hotel didn’t provide in-house disposable shoe and said it will provide upon request - crazy ! 4 star hotel will provide the standard amenities only when you request them ? Can you imagine what happened to their management team ?? This hotel room fridge inside the room is not working and when you called and checked the staff told you “this is under maintenance that one also under maintenance “ - sound like everything is under maintenance for this hotel ! With all the above issues how can this hotel still claim them self that they are 4 star hotel ?? I think they should be 2.5 star hotel not even 3 star - only their lobby looks quite good but the hotel room conditions and services are quite bad manage in my 4 nights...

I had a last minute trip to Melaka . we drove From Singapore to Melaka . Travel with 3 Young kids age 10month , 6 and 9 and 6 adults . Book 2 Family Room . i reach bayview at ard 2am plus . They give me a room at Level 8 . When we reach our level . walking down looking for our rooms . Saw all the room was open with the door ledge out , walking down there was 1 room that was completely open and was pitch black . Both our room were far apart. Requested for connecting room but reception said none was available . 1 room was 3rd last on the right . 2nd room was 2nd last from the left . Out of the 2 rooms that i booked . The rest was completely empty . Reach my room , felt an eerie sensation, we all move to the 2nd last room on the left . 6 Adults and 3 kids squeeze in a room . I called reception and asked to change room as it was too creepy. Receptionist said that there wasnt any room that i booked was available . i ask to upgrade and i was willing to paid for it , he say no room was available. i then ask if i could move to another level as their hotel room level was 7-14 floor . He said no other room was available , i then explain what i had to walk through just to get to my room . he said that we were the only ones on that level and that other room wasn’t ready as housekeeper hasn’t clean them . out of what maybe 15rooms in that level , only 2 rooms were “cleaned” . i was so mad i just hang up . It was the worst night of my life . it was already 2am , we didn’t want to move as it will be too tiring , knowing we only had like 6hrs of sleep , we proceeded to stay . at about 3 till 5am , we heard all sorts of sounds . Our door being knock , laughing sounds from other room , walls being banged , slamming of doors . It was the worst experience . This isnt my first time staying at bayview but it will definitely be a last . If u are travelling with kids , please...

Dirty, old, moldy smell, toilet leaking! I regretted booking this hotel the minute we arrived. We arrived after midnight, and walked into this very dim restaurant lobby, no one at the lobby and the reception is at a corner with one person. Check in was quick. however when we got to the room, it was so dark and smelt of mold. The shower area was full of black mold. The toilet bowl was positioned it's very uncomfortable sitting on it especially for taller people. We slept and asked the next morning to change room. The recep told us they couldn't do anything except we go back to the room and wait for the manager. We declined as we didn't want to spend our only full day in the room waiting and he couldn't tell us when the manager will come. We went out and came back in the late afternoon asking for an update. A manager came and said they cleaned the room and spray some refresher and brought us up to see another room. The new room they showed was exactly the same layout, we then went back to the old room, now there is a very strong refresher smell in the room and was quite unbearable. We showed the manager the air con duct area was full of dust so we were breathing in the dirt as we slept in the room. Also our original room lights are not working and we couldn't take a shower. So we moved to the new room they showed us. But the toilet bowl was leaking water. We had to step on the water while using the toilet. At this point, we gave up as we are going to check out next morning. The room was very noisy, somehow the windows cannot be shut tight, there were lots of traffic noise, loud aircon noise, and people moving furniture upstairs all the time. We had 2 terrible nights in this hotel. Would never ever...
