I had a very frustrating experience booking this homestay through Agoda. I ended up cancelling my booking due to a significant price discrepancy. The advertised price was different from what I was later asked to pay an additional RM349 per night which is RM698 in total, if I wished to proceed with the booking.
I contacted Agoda to clarify this matter, and they confirmed that all payments should strictly go through Agoda and not directly to the property owner. Agoda also informed that my booking was valid and confirmed, and as Agoda Platinum membership, I had never encountered such an issue before.
The property owner claimed that the price discrepancy was due to an error on Agoda’s side. However, as far as I’m concerned, the prices listed on Agoda are entirely determined and approved by the property owners, even before any promotions by Agoda.
To avoid potential issues during check-in, such as being denied entry by the owner, I decided to cancel the booking and look for a more reliable and honest place to stay. Traveling during school holidays with young children, I couldn't take the risk of being stranded.

Even just asking about a refund turns into a whole drama, like we have to beg for it. The process is insanely slow and unnecessarily complicated. I literally had to call the building security just to get you to reply to my WhatsApp. This is beyond ridiculous. Absolutely terrible service — the worst I’ve ever experienced ‼️
It’s been two weeks and I still haven’t received the deposit as promised. I’m exhausted from having to constantly follow up — it feels like I’m begging. This isn’t a small amount we’re talking about; it’s a significant sum. Please be responsible and honor what was promised. You never pick up calls or respond to chats — only after I raised my voice, then you asked for my bank details! This is absolutely ridiculous.
For anyone planning to stay here, you better think twice. I’m extremely disappointed — the service is absolutely terrible!

Lovely, relaxing view of the balcony filled with flowers and comfy chairs. So nice to seat outside with a cup of coffee. Beds are very comfortable and lots of extra blankets and pillows.
