Kopitiam with Sarawak fares... And regular items. I remember when there was a topic on Sarawak Laksa, someone mentioned about Hai Siang in Puchong. I took notice and since I seldom have opportunity to go Puchong, I just put it aside. Until recently when I was invited by my friend for tasting at Kopi Factory in Hero Market. I keyed in the details and found out that Hai Siang is located beside Hero Market. Feeling happy, I stopped by for lunch at this kopitiam one hour earlier before the tasting... With hungry tummies to fill of course. Whoever that mention Hai Siang - thank you! The Sarawak Laksa is indeed good on its own right. ◾Sarawak Laksa - the broth was not too thick nor too thin, just nice with good flavours with every scoop of its coarse vermicelli, shredded chicken, bean sprouts, julienne omelette and fresh prawns. A classic Sarawakian staple done right. ◾Mee Suah - one of the traditional Foochow dish to start (or to end) the day. The broth was boiled using 9 different herbs plus the sweetness from the chicken. ◾Luncheon meat & egg sandwich - normal kopitiam staple but the kids love it. ◾Nasi Lemak biasa - Sambal was not too sweet nor too spicy.. quite balanced and the son who loves his nasi lemak commented that it was good. ◾Kopi C Kosong kaw - another reason just to come here. I seldom find a good Kopi/teh around Klang Valley so I was pleasantly surprised to taste such power in my cup of coffee. Without comparing to any other Sarawak Laksa that I'd tried, Hai Siang's version is already good on its own and it's no wonder why they are doing good business after so many years. Coupled with good Kopi/teh plus honest cafe style food, this kopitiam is worth to be in the must-go list.

Regulars here as well. Kopitiam with the vintage interior deco. Parking is damn difficult to get cause their location is surrounded by multiple bank branches and other food courts as well. So good luck finding a parking space. Alternatively You can park at hero market and walk there 🙂 If you are detailed enough you will see a shelf full of coke cola collections. Super cool ! Couldn’t get a pic cause there are customers sitting there, perhaps my next visit. Food and coffee is delicious as always and they do inform that you do need to wait for your food. Special chicken rice only available on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays. Nasi Lemak Rendang is also highly recommended. Their coffee quite kao - really rich and aromatic. Can compete with Cheong Foh Kopitiam in Klang - really kao love it ☕️

Type: Chinese Kopitiam Cafe Signature: White Coffee and Sarawak Laksa This Kopitiam has been around for many decades for its coffee and true enough the coffee and Cham Ice is good (4.5🌟) and besides that I would also recommend the half Boiled Eggs (4 🌟) here. Eggs were made to perfection. Their signature Sarawak Mee (3.5 🌟), despite the roaring reviews... was ok only. The broth wasn't thick enough with less flavour. Nasi lemak with rendang chicken (4 🌟) is good though.should give it a try if you are a Nasi lemak fan. One complain though is that the place is really jammed, despite not being at the main road. I’ve been coming to this spot for quite some time now, and it’s honestly become one of my favorite places—not just to eat, but to spend time and unwind. The food here is consistently exceptional. Every dish, whether it’s one of my go-to favorites or something new from the menu, is prepared with such care and attention to detail. You can taste the freshness in every bite, and there’s a real depth of flavor that shows just how much pride goes into the cooking.

But as good as the food is (and it really is that good), what keeps me coming back just as much—if not more—is the atmosphere created by the owners. They are some of the warmest, most genuine people I’ve ever met in a restaurant setting. From the very first time I walked in, they made me feel welcome, like more than just a customer. They always greet me with a smile, ask how I’m doing, and even remember the little details—like my usual order or how I take my drink.

Over time, it’s gone beyond just great service; it’s clear they truly care about their guests and take pride in building real relationships with the people who walk through their doors. Whether it’s a quiet solo meal or bringing friends along, the experience always feels personal, relaxed, and just… right.

It’s rare to find a place that balances incredible food with such heartfelt hospitality. This place is a gem in every sense of the word. I feel lucky to have found it and even luckier to be a regular. Highly, highly...

Search Google and saw 4.0 review so we went for our first try. We ordered Sarawak Laksa, curry mee, twin bun and one white bread ham and hash and 3 drinks and one half boiled egg. First the Sarawak Laksa came and we found a strand of hair (very obvious) after the waitress put on the table and I immediately called her and she just took it away without any apology. Then I told her you don't take away the hair and gave me the same bowl. (Which I dont know what I get is the same bowl or not) 😅 Secondly the white bread ham and hash served and we got ham and egg. Before I managed to inform the waitress, the waitress came out of nowhere and just took the bread away, also without apology or explanations. Then they served ham and cheese which was also wrong order. We get the waitress to check the order again and she key in ham and cheese. So we asked to exchange and finally got it right. After we finished our meal our half boiled eggs never served us but they bill us. None of the waitress or person in charge came to apologize. From their expression, I feel they felt like they had done nothing wrong. So this is my first and and...
