This experience is a lesson in doing your research first! We found this spot via Expedia and booked quickly (first mistake) We were looking for a transition spot in downtown Cancun, someplace to get a good night's rest after long flights before we transitioned to our resort at our all inclusive on the beach. The price seemed good and the location nice and central. I did read reviews after booking that noted how loud the nightclub (just across the boulevard) is. DO NOT DISCOUNT THIS INFORMATION! We got no sleep that night as the party did not end until 5 AM. We had a second night booked, but opted to move to the next hotel early rather than stay. The hotel staff didn't seem surprised at all by our complaints about the noise, though (of course) there is not commentary about it on their website. It took some persistence, but we were able to get a refund for the second night.|Beyond that, we heard from other hotel guests that there were issues with electrical in the units (we didn't try to use any of the appliances ourselves) There were also issues with plumbing. The unit itself was relatively clean and tidy. The kitchen has the very bare minimum in essentials if you plan to cook there. You might be better off going to one of the local eating spots close by. |Summary - make sure you read through reviews before you book and consider other locations...
Read moreThis place was the absolute WORST. I must say, the customer service was really nice and helped me with any questions I had. BUT the apartment is nothing like the pictures on booking.com. They should just GUT the hold place out and rebuild or close DOWN. First, the smell greeted me at the door, it smelled like a OLD sick person in a hospital bed with bad pipes or something. Secondly, I seen a few roaches crawling out of the bathroom sink. When I saw the roaches, I WAS DONE. I packed my belongings and found a better place to stay. I told them, they can keep the money. Now I must say, it was very very cheap, $350 for 4 nights. So, you get what you pay for. Thirdly, the rain coming in through the front door, it flooded the kitchen and the front area. I had to keep putting towels down. I complained to the first desk multiple times about giving me my money back for at least one night stay, but management refused. If you decide to stay, just now that its very old, nothing like the pictures, very rusty with mold especially in the bathroom area, the smell is bad and roaches. Oh I almost forgot about the outside noise. You will not get any sleep because you can help the bars around the area of the apartments plus the cars driving down the street is very very noisy. The walls are THIN. Dont stay here unless you serious on a budget and okay with a...
Read moreDefinitely a great stay for me for 4 days here in Cancun downtown proper.
Here are my Pros: Great pool and space to chill and hang out.
I had two TWO hours massage because the assistant manager told me about their promotions. Nothing beat having a massage and stroll to your room..
The room is small but very functional.
The manager was very aware and observant to the guest needs.
The assistance manager the weekend and the entire front of house staff was professional, friendly and very helpful.
The music around the pool was hip.
The night security is tight with double gates that locks you in well.
The kitchen was good as I love the ability to see the stove works well.
Here are the cons despite a 5 stars rating:
I am glad to be on the ground floor as there are 5 floor with no elevators.
Never seems to get a hot shower. The best is semi warm despite running the water for 10 plus minutes.
No Netflix or regular TV channels. The assistance manager did offer to help but I had my own entertainment.
Kitchen is missing a frying pan.
The jacuzzi that you can use if you had a massage was again at best lukewarm.
It is noisy as there are a few bars across the street. One night they had a complete Mariachi band that had 18 players blowing their lungs out. That was loud. Lol Usually quiet down after 1pm.
Otherwise, I absolutely would...
