The hotel is located on an extremely loud and exceptionally busy street in Cabo. Traffic, renovations in the hotel, and extremely loud party guests. Paper thin walls. If you're looking at getting any kind of restful sleep here, don't book it. The rooms are clean, and well cared for ... however if you're going to cook in the 'kitchenettes' ... they are not well equipped at all. The pool is not a refreshing dip. It's more like a hot tub. You are not allowed to take your own food or drinks to the pool, even though it is connected to the hotel, and you are 'expected' to eat and drink in the restaurant. The food we ordered was hands down, the worst we experienced in Cabo. Two coffee drinks in the morning cost $15 Canadian dollars. I booked five nights here and elected to leave after two. The hotel did not:||1. Enquire once as to why I was leaving.|2. Would not give me any kind of refund whatsoever, even though I was not staying the full time I originally paid.|3. They expected me to check out at 11 AM even though I was paid in full for an extra 2 nights.|4. 'May' ... the office gal ... was dishonest with me and told me that 'Expedia' refused to refund my nights I didn't stay there, however Priceline, the company I DID book through, was willing to refund me, but the hotel refused. |5. When enquiring about leaving early, May and her colleague, another female in the office were pointedly rude, and kept interrupting me and talking over me. ||Accountability. It's lacking in today's world. This is the first poor review I've...
Read moreHelpful, gracious service. Nice rooms and people here. The hotel has a closed and locked gate around it, which makes you feel safe. Fruit and simple breakfast to eat in the morning or throughout the day. About 10 or so blocks from the beach. We don't have a car so we walk everywhere, which is great for the appetite. No pool or cable tv, but they have Netflix, Plex, Amazon, or some other tv if you have the logins for those. One of the programs we found does not need a login luckily so we can watch some movies. If you get a room facing the street, it is loud, but we are downstairs which is fairly quiet so we are not bothered by the street noises as much at night or in the morning. Quiet AC unit that works quite well to keep the room cool. Very nice kichenette, but we brought out own sponge and kitchen soap since that is not provided. They do provide towels and umbrellas to go to the beach. Nice outside patio that we haven't used yet because we are here in July and it's so hot out. Quaint mom and pop restaurants close by if you want to experience eating like a local. There are small markets around, but you just have to ask where they are. The locals say the crime here is low and so far so good believing them, but you still get hounded to buy high pressure sales close to the Marina and at the airport by the people who work for the resorts trying to get you in their doors to sell you time shares. Medano beach is a bit diappointing but it does have beautiful views...
Read moreGreat hotel in a quieter part of Cabo San Lucas. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was exceptionally clean and had all the amenities you could want. Including room safe, hairdryer, iron and fridge. Great that they had Netflix and You tube available at no cost. In reception area they had free to use umbrellas and towels and this was an added bonus. The beach bag for these was in the wardrobe. The breakfast was cereal, milk, muffins and fruit, delivered each morning in a cute little bag to our door. Despite being right next to the road it was very quiet at night outside. It was being decorated for Christmas whilst we were there and it was lovely. It looked like there was quite a few parking areas and it was all locked up at night which felt safe.
Local shops, cafes, restaurants very close by, only a 5 minute walk away. They have a more local feel about them, and are a lot cheaper than busy marina area. Also less hassled by street hawkers and sellers. It’s near the museum too, and a quiet but small park, with beautiful gardens and areas to relax, if you’re not at the beach. The surrounding streets felt safe, even at night. The marina area is a further walk down the hill, so this hotel is a great location if you want to be away from the busy tourist area. Would highly recommend here for its friendly staff, amenities and location. Would definitely come...
