The Cabo Marina is a quick 20 minute downhill walk from the Grand Solmar resort. Once there , you will notice a pedestrian walkway which skirts the entire marina. The walkway passes loads of stalls and shills hawking every manner of fishing trips and boat tours around the Cabo area. The marina is also home to loads of restaurants and shops that typically charge premium prices because of the heavy tourist traffic along the marina walkway. The marina area is also home to pelicans and sea lions. The pelicans hand around the fishing boats looking for generous handouts while the sea lions tend to bask and bark at the northern side of the marina. I always enjoy walking along the marina and gawking at the various vendors and tourists. I recommend going either earlier in the morning or in the evening when it's cooler since there is little to no shade walking along the marina walkway. Walking from the Solmar to the end of the marina walkway on the North side and back to the Grand Solmar is about 8000-10000 steps depending on the route and any minor side excursions. Enjoyable walk with lots to see. Recommended...

It's attached to a mall and shopping indoors with air conditioning is nice. There are local vendors and popular brand name stores. There's also a food court where you can find a few Chinese restaurants - maybe the only ones you will find in downtown Cabo and the food is so so good. There is also a grocery store.
When you go to the marina, you'll find a lot of nice restaurants - some trendy, some pricey, and some totally unique.
You will also get a lot of folks asking you to purchase an excursion. And, if you've never visited the arch, gone to beaches where you can swim, ride a camel at an echo park or drive a utv through sand dunes, you should consider going to an excursion just a least once.
If all you just want a nice day out in the sun, the marina is an...
Read moreWe stopped at the fuel dock to fill up with fuel and water plus to empty our holding tanks. We found out the water isn't potable, so scratch that. The guys started running the pump out hose over to our boat. One of the dock guys said we had to call the office and tell them. So we did, and the woman said we can't pump out because we're not staying in the marina. We told her we are spending over $1000 for fuel, which is a lot more than a nights moorage. She wouldn't budge. Someone radioed the dock guys, and they started rolling up the hose. We told her, "Fine, we'll just anchor off the beach and empty our tanks there. How do you like...
