Due to the cartel, wars, kidnapping and other crime Acapulco and Cancun are no longer the top tourists destinations. Tourism never recovered after the US government RED flagged those areas as dangerous travel destinations. Cobo is probably the safest place in Mexico as well now! The city is clean and well kept.
