It's a small museum, but really worth a vist for anyone visiting Cabo who has cultural interests extending past the frightful nightclubs and horribly sad cathhouses of el Centro. As a former Geologist, I can state with confidence that this region of Baja California Sur had, at one time, a culture far more sophisticated and advanced than it is given credit for, and the evidence is plentiful both within this museum and upon the hills surrurounding Cabo, for anyone who has eyes to see. It''s terribly unfortunate that real estate developers have chosen to pave over and ignore the ruins, instead of giving them over to academics, as they could place Cabo at the center of the world stage in the sciences of archaeology and anthropology. I hope that, someday, this will change, and that such sites that remain pristine in the region are documented by experts, as they so entirely...

Quaint local museum on edge of a lovely park, with lots of shade areas and seating. The museum was a bit tired in places, with tatty signs and some displays a bit old. There are limited English explanations, and sadly almost none on the history of the development of Cabo as a holiday destination, which is a shame as the photos looked very interesting. The murals around the walls were beautifully painted. The displays about the history of local people and the various tribes, how they lived was fascinating and I would have liked to see more about this side of their cultural history. However, it’s a nice place to go if you want to do something else in Cabo that you isn’t beach or marina related, and it was cheap to get in. They had excellent Covid restrictions in place and it felt safe for this reason. More English text would...

The lady in the front was not too kind especially when she knew I was traveling from California she charged me double the price it was ok but then she tried questioning my partner who lives in Mexico. She didn’t believe him that he lived in Mexico and wanted to see his I.D. Or else she would charge him the same as me. She then questioned my bill too because she thought it looked weird “fake” I was like “this lady doesn’t want us to visit the museum” I felt uncomfortable. The museum needs some paint touch ups. It was very humble and nothing amusing or amazing. I love museums and it really doesn’t matter I just did not like...

This quaint museum is a steal at just $2 entry. Be prepared for a mostly Spanish-language experience, but don't let that deter you. The informal atmosphere and fascinating artifacts make for an intriguing visit. As you wander through the exhibits, you'll stumble upon a rather realistic (and slightly unsettling) native woman display - be prepared! However, the ship display at the end is a definite highlight, offering a captivating 10-minute experience. With its unique blend of history and culture, this museum is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore something new.
