Casa Alkimia Town — Hotel in Isla Mujeres

So I chose this Air Bnb because I didn't see any overly bad reviews. Everything in the reviews is accurate, here is my review. |Once you get off the ferry into Isla Mujeres you can walk or catch a taxi to the location. It is in fact located next to a hostel, you'll be given the name. There are many steps so don't pack 25 bags, you wont need them anyway. You'll only need enough clothes to go to the beach every day and bar hop or party at night. Both recommended. The rooms are a dream, if you like a minimalist aesthetic. The floors are concrete, so shoes are optional and was my favorite feature. Super sanitary. (PS. Don't flush your TP) I never had shoes on, The room was clean upon arrival and every day. Giovanni and the staff are the BEST! There aren't enough words to describe how accommodating he was! What a pleasure and joy to have on staff! He was one of my favorite parts. There's a balcony that wraps around with a different view depending on where your room is. The pool is nice, exactly what's in the picture. It's not huge and fits about 4 people. The hotel is small enough that you may be able to use the pool by yourself. The water later in the day is warm. Loved it. The location is center to everything in either direction, Playa Norte to the right and shopping and dining to the left. Loved that as well. Felt totally safe as a solo traveler with knowing there was surveillance outside and inside the staircase and the lock on the door is heavy and locks immediately on closing. Practice open and closing the door with the key so you're not fumbling while stumbling in at 2am. Which yes, there is a bar next door and they party until 2 am. Deal with it or bring ear plugs, but they also provide earplugs. I didn't need them because I fell right to sleep. This was the best vacation ever. I loved it here and can't wait until I can visit the Ocean...

Incredible host, Carlos was so welcoming and gave us great restaurant tips. Try Marbella on the south coast - gorgeous food! The hotel was above a great breakfast cafe. Very good, large portions all very fresh.||Our room at CascadeAlkimia Town had lovely decor with clean lines and nice soft furnishings, a few Mexican touches made it feel comfortable but not cluttered. Great shower, comfortable bed and little balcony and roof terrace.||It was located close to the beach and well everything really, you are right in town so close to the restaurants and shops. | |The only negative is that because it is in town, it was a bit noisy at night, but that would have been the case everywhere in that area. You can’t be close to the action and expect no noise. ||I would definitely recommend it and if we returned I would try a night at the other hotel on the Alkimia Oceanfront which we walked past but didn’t go inside.||Re. Isla Mujeres itself - it has a lovely beach with gorgeous sand but it’s so shallow you cannot swim terribly easily and the boats and yachts that park up from Cancun make it near impossible to get in deep enough. They are really annoying - why do they come over to moor right on that beach, it spoils it for people actually staying on the island. ||Eventually they leave and you have the beach to yourselves around 5.30pm. Anyone expecting a paradise has missed the boat. It was super busy when we were there, but it was a nice place to spend our last couple of days in Mexico. The shopping is fun and cheaper...

J’ai eu la chance de séjourner dans les deux établissements d’Andrea et Flavio - Casa Alkimia Town & Casa Alkimia Ocean Front.

Les deux établissements sont exceptionnels et je garde un souvenir merveilleux de mon séjour aux deux adresses. En tant que voyageur seul, j’ai toutefois préféré, me concernant, par sa localisation très centrale, Casa Alkimia Town.

L’emplacement est effectivement tout simplement exceptionnel. Situé au cœur d’Isla Mujeres, tout est vraiment à portée de main : la playa del Norte (l’une des plus belles plages que j’ai pu voir dans ma vie) est à 5 minutes à pied, plein de boutiques charmantes, restaurants, bars et autres activités variées. Que vous souhaitiez vous prélasser au soleil sur une des plus belles plage du monde ou alors explorer l’île en profondeur, tout est accessible en quelques minutes depuis Alkimia Town.

Ma chambre était également parfaite. Ce que j’ai apprécié par dessus tout était la propreté irréprochable 👌🏼 Dans les moindres détails tout était parfaitement propre et entretenu. Je m’y suis senti très à l’aise en quelques minutes. La décoration est élégante, combinant à la fois charme moderne et touches locales. Tout a été pensé dans les moindres détails pour que l’on s’y sente comme chez soi. J’ai beaucoup apprécié la possibilité de préparer un café le matin grâce à la cafetière électrique mise à disposition dans la chambre et la possibilité de prendre mon petit déjeuner sur le petit balcon. Il y avait également deux petites bouteilles d’eau gracieusement mises à ma disposition à mon arrivée dans le réfrigérateur.

Je tiens par ailleurs à souligner que j’ai formidablement bien dormi pendant tout mon séjour et que me concernant en aucun cas je n’ai été importuné par d’éventuelles nuisances sonores. La literie est aussi d’excellente qualité.

Le rooftop, ensoleillé, avec sa piscine et sa vue imprenable, constitue également un atout majeur. Les équipements sont modernes et excellemment bien entretenus.

Enfin, je dois dire que mon séjour n’aurait pas été le même sans la gentillesse et le professionnalisme d’Andrea. Avant même mon arrivée, Andréa, s’est montré d’une réactivité incroyable et toujours proactif. Chaque message envoyé a reçu une réponse rapide, efficace et chaleureuse. Il n’a pas manqué non plus de me communiquer dès mon arrivée de précieux conseils pour découvrir l’île, sa gastronomie et ses joyaux cachés.

Encore une fois, un grand merci à Andrea pour son professionnalisme, ses attentions, sa disponibilité et sa gentillesse. J’ai beaucoup voyagé, en Europe et ailleurs dans le monde, et la qualité de son accueil ont fait définitivement toute la différence. Je recommande sans aucune hésitation et j’ai vraiment hâte...
