Mamarosa — Restaurant in Isla Mujeres

Stay away!!!!!! We got yelled at from the manager and all was his fault ! Here's why; We waited for half an hour for them to take an order Then we waited for 45!!! Minutes for the food to come out We got tomatoes with MOLD!!!! My lobster risotto was not cooked , I took 2 bites of it it was awful which also took an hour to get out, after my Friend finished her pizza which was not good aswell

I asked for the manager 10 times (which took him 15 minutes to come) not even apologizing for the tomatoes Later on he admitted the risotto was not coooked and I waited again for the menu to choose an other dish which he forgot to bring. After he finally came He said we could take the gnocchi paying only half the price of the risotto (160 pesos)

When we got the bill they wanted to charge us the full price of the Risotto Yet again we looked for him He said it would be changed Waited again for the bill another 10 minutes Until we couldn't wait anymore (we've spent 2.5 hours and left almost alone in the restaurant while other tables were all done) we approached him with the money just to see him talking to an other employee casually

He told me that he can't make his promise and charged me for the gnochi (180pesos) being very rude and unpleasant

when I said that he promised me something else he started shouting at me Taking the money from my hands and yelling bye bye!!!!!!

This is rude, outrageous I've never been treated that way in my life

I ate here twice while I was in Isla Mujeres. They're one of the few restaurants that don't seem to allow smoking at their house store tables. The first night I had the pear gorgonzola salad and the next night I had these are with the mushroom risotto. They have a decent wine list and I am a wine drinke, bring from San Antonio I wasn't exactly looking for margaritas and tacos. On the second evening I had an empty champagne glass that I knocked over and it broke onto my entree plate. The waiter took it back and they were happy to remake my entree even though it was my fault and a woman, whom I'm assuming is the owner or manager came out with another glass of cava. I told her that the glass I had was empty and she said well will you not drink it? I said well of course I will and happily accepted. The service on both nights that I dined here was excellent. The food was excellent, the prices compared to other restaurants area are. very fair. They do pizzas as well and even though I did not order pizza at any time, they lookefdelicious. I highly recommend...

i visited this place 10 days ago ,the food was perfect,quality and taste , the service were perfect too ,the boss or the manager where around customers all the time taking care of them ,BUT when the bill came the waiter ASKED as do you want to tip ? I said no (because I wanted to give cash ) and he replied rudely , "no ? ok " and throw the receipt in the table ,I said thank you and he didnt even answered. SO Dear Mamarosa Manager please 🙏 learn your staff that they dont have to ask for tip they have to earn the tip, also they are getting payed from customer's bills ,so that means that their behaviour must be thankfully even if you dont tip .(he didnt even wait to see if we will tip in cash) we are no all rich in this island some of us come from poor countries. I want to remind again that the food were perfect ,this rate is only for the behaviour of that waiter . In the photo you can...
