somehow I did not expect such good food and service in a restaurant in a shopping center. but this place is excellent! we went there once kind by accident and now we keep coming back. my husband is Mexican and he really cares about his chilaquiles: this is the only place where he is fully satisfied. they are flavorful, there is a lot of them, and they are not drowning in sauce so they are not soggy. we tried other basic things such as the chicken soup, the frijoles de la olla, the quesadillas, the enchiladas and they are consistently excellent. we also found the service really really good and fast. much better than many other places that labels themselves as authentic. I am always looking forward to...

I really wanted to love this place because the atmosphere is great and the service is impeccable. It's a fun place to have breakfast with plenty of locals. But the portions are tiny, the prices exorbitant, and the food is not tasty. I had the ham omelet, the omelet was paper thin and if I had to guess I would say half an egg was used to make it. It was stuffed with a mountain of low-quality processed ham that was shredded as if it had been put in a paper shredder. It had zero taste and was a total waste as I ate my paper thin omelet and left that heaping mountain of processed shredded ham which the waiter noticed. I would return if portions were bigger and food was more flavorful with more quality...

I was fooled by the five star reviews. This may be authentic only to your typical midwestern American. It was equivalent to, or perhaps a little below, the El Torito at the local American mall. My carnitas were dry and chewy. The tostada de pollo was okay, piled high but unfortunately bland. The salsa was pretty good, as well as the guacamole. My wife got Caldo and she thought it was pretty bland also.

Maybe we were spoiled with all the excellent food we had in CDMX, but this was definitely my least favorite of the trip and I’m still disappointed that it was my last meal in the city even though I’ve been home for a few days. It was also the most...

El Bajío is a classic Mexican themed chain restaurant that offers a very complete selection of Mexican dishes and specializes in food from Bajío, which includes de coastal region of Veracruz. Barbacoa, carnitas and tacos, huaraches and molletes, all the classics are here for you to enjoy. The hot Mexican chocolate is quite good, and they include a refill (they don’t say… so here’s a pro tip!). It’s reasonably priced and service is good. Quality is a little above average but portion size kinda compensate on the lack of excellent flavors. Must try for a brunch or quick lunch.

This restaurant is really good and the people working there are very professional. The waiters are helpful and know a lot about the food, which makes your meal even better. The food is delicious and it's served in a way that looks very nice. The restaurant is always clean and well taken care of. The prices are a bit high, but you get great food and service for what you pay. It's a nice place to go for a special meal or if you want to treat yourself to something really good.

Overall the food is good and fresh considering they have a fast rotation of customers, it is not impressive but what makes the experience better is the friendly service they provide. Be aware that there is no AC inside so the temperature gets a little high inside considering that they have an open kitchen, so if you are looking for a moment to have a drink, relax and refresh yourself after walking or shopping it’s not going to work on a hot day.
