SUITES HAVRE — Hotel in Mexico City

The staff tried very hard to make us happy. We had some issues with the wifi but they worked with us to get it working. They spoke English well, greeted us, asked if we needed a taxi when we left, and gave restaurant recommendations. ||I did see a bug in the toilet but I flushed it but overall the room was clean. I wished there had been a coffee pot in the room and wish there had been air conditioning. One time the elevator was out of service while people were working on it and being on the 5th of 6 floors was a ways up the stairs. ||The room was spacious and in a good location. The bathroom shower was stone and gorgeous. The water pressure was something to be desired though. There were plenty of dishes in the kitchen and while we heard some of our neighbors there wasn't any street noise. There was tons of closet and dresser space. Suite Havre is located in an older, Colonial neighborhood that also hosts several colleges. Subsequently, the neighborhood is vibrant with coffee shops, boutiques, restaurants etc. It's an easy walk to the metro and the historic neighborhoods nearby. ||||The suite, consisting of a sitting/dining area, kitchen, sleeping room and bathroom was very clean but very Spartan and obviously quite old. The windows faced a courtyard of other windows. The two twin beds were firm but comfortable and the linens were clean and adequate. We had an airbnb elsewhere for the day checking in at 3pm but our flight got moved to an earlier flight. We wound up landing at 4:45am and needed somewhere to go and wound up here because of its proximity to cafe nin across the street, a favorite of ours. Anyhow we walked in around 6am and they gave us a lovely little room that was super nice with a kitchenette and a great 7th floor view of roma, it was a great deal and if we hadn’t already had our other reservation we would have just kept the room for the duration of our stay.
