Papaya Pizza & Co TULUM — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

We were looking for a place for dinner when we saw Papaya and its amazing decor, with beautiful lights and paintings (painted by one of the owners!). We are so happy to have stumbled across it, the service was absolutely brilliant and Manuela was so kind and considerate.

The food itself was delicious and the drinks were so refreshing. We highly highly recommend the bruschetta (with its balsamic glaze: so tasty!) as a starter, and they provided three homemade dipping sauces which were so good! The prices were really good here, especially for Tulum, so it was great value for money. We dined in but there was also option for takeout if you are on the go.

Don’t order from this restaurant. Its an awful place of business. We placed an order over the phone and they seemed to be very unprofessional. We informed them of the name of our hotel, sent them the address, and were told that they would be here in approximately 15 minutes. We called and spoke with them a few times to confirm the name of our hotel as well as the address because they seemed very shady over the phone. Each time we were told to wait and that they would be there momentarily. After calling and waiting for over an hour we spoke with the restaurant once again and were informed that they had delivered the pizza to another person who paid them cash. They did not offer to deliver another pizza or compensate us in anyway. They simply said too bad and...

Getting here the restaurant was easy to find following maps indications. parking is easy on the street, close to the restaurant.

Food The pizzas we had were with really fresh ingredients, not dry (soft inside) and crusty basis. two sauces were served: very spicy and just a bit spicy.

time spent here: around 45 minutes to 1 hour. from the house, they served us some bruschetta with tomato. It was better than what we had 1 night before, at a very famous Italian restaurant that is not far from this place.
