Dar Chams Tanja — Hotel in arrondissement de Tanger-Medina طنجة المدينة

My husband and I and another couple stayed 4 nights in Dar Chams Tanja. It was beautiful, clean and spacious with many nice amenities. Both the breakfasts and dinners were delicious and beautifully presented and served by quiet and attentive staff. Eating on the rooftop terrace with a wonderful view was an added bonus. All of the staff was friendly and attentive to our needs but Noura, the manager was outstanding. She had many communications with me before our arrival and made herself available at all times during our stay. She was very professional and helpful, arranging for transportation on arrival and departure, recommending restaurants and authentic shopping as well as arranging guided tours of Tangier and Asilah. The tour guide she booked for us, Hamza was very knowledgeable and friendly and accommodated our schedule and all requests including assisting us with providing food for some of the homeless animals in the city and arranging for a camel ride on the beach. In addition, Noura acted as our liason with a tour company we had reserved before arriving. Her assistance was invaluable. We all loved our stay in Dar Chams Tanja and would highly recommend it. I wrote bad review for this hotel. However Dominique hotel manager came thru and fixed the problems. Also when he send me the email went to spam folder. Now all is good. I made reservation yesterday August 28, 2017 around 6 AM Tangier time (10 PM my city) for two nights September 17 and 18. After putting all the information including credit cards, selected "Confirm reservation" key, the page took me to Hotel Shams home page, did not give the confirmation number, date reserved, total amount , and other required information. I called many times the two telephone number listed on the website, either no one picked the phone, or if it was picked was answered by recording that did not made any sense. I wrote two emails to the email address listed on the web site, have not heard from any one. I am frustrated and do not know if I have Hotel reserved or not. If not so I can reserve another hotel. Additionally they have my credit card information. I am not comfortable with this situation. Can anyone help me with this? any suggestions. Much...

Is not space enough to talk about this beautiful Boutique Hotel in the heart of the Medina? We booked here last minute hoping for a good service and value for money. I must say the place is over the top. From the first moment, Khadija who is the Manager offered us a full overview of the place and we had a fantastic chat with a local tea. She showed us the rooms and the facilities and explained us everything that we needed to know. The rooms are just amazingly decorated. Each of them with a personal touch and colours keeping the tradition but also the comfort. The rooms have incidental music that can be controlled as desired and is great for a good sleep and relaxation. The views from the rooftop are just amazing and are also the breakfast place.
