My husband & I stayed here for our honeymoon. 3 nights total, though I wish we stayed longer. Out of the many riads and hotels we’ve stayed in thus far across the country , this is the BEST one. It sounds cliche but you feel truly like family and that the place is your home. The staff (especially Ghassan and Nora) is the kindest and most accommodating we have encountered anywhere. The AC works amazing, wifi was great, food is to DIE FOR (breakfast is so big it’s basically also lunch), and the best was so comfortable I will think about it for years to come. So happy we chose this place among the many others we were considering. PRO TIP- ask the lovely Nora to take you for an authentic hamam experience (not the tourist one). It’s much much better- seriously. You need to truly experience the Moroccan way, not the watered down spa version you can get at home. She will take you to purchase the products & take you to the spa and direct you (it’s really confusing alone, especially if you don’t speak Arabic). Be sure to compensate her for her time. Also, this is just for women- not sure what the men do. Also, Ghassan- has the best English skills We’ve encountered here which made everything much easier. Anyways, save yourself the time & just book this place. So...
Read moreMohamed and Fatima made our stay in this beautiful Blue City wonderful. The communication was excellent, and Mohamed speakes excellent English and helped us make arrangements for transportation back to Tangier with a stop in Akchour for some hiking. The location of the Riad is perfect. It's just far enough away from the main square that it is quiet at night, but close enough, you just need to walk a couple of streets and you are in the main shopping area with tons of choices for restaurants and shops. There is no need for a taxi or car here, but there is parking nearby if you need it. Breakfast was amazing on the rooftop terrace. Now for the best part.... the Riad is absolutely beautiful and unique. The art and decor are authentic. The beds are comfortable, and the linens of nice quality and the air-conditioning is an absolute must in July. I think I am a bit spoiled with my first experience in a Riad. Riad La Santa has set a very high bar. We still have a bit more travel to do here in this amazing and beautiful country, and I think I will be hard pressed to find other lodging to compete with Riad La Santa for price and quality. I am very pleased with my choice to stay here and would definitely stay here again if I am ever lucky enough to come back to...
