We used this venue for a wedding celebration and party . Overall we did have fun but it was stressful, and if we look at the detail it was chaotic||Poor communication from them with regards to details during the 6 months from booking to the event. ||we arrived in town 3 days before the event for a sit down meeting with management. we agreed what area of the rooftop we wanted the celebration, start time, food etc||The person we agreed everything with 6 months earlier was not around anymore and a different manager dealt with us ||At this meeting we were casually informed they had a problem with their alcohol license ( bit of a shock as nothing mentioned in previous 6 months) but not to worry as we could buy our own. ||On our wedding day, i had to go off to the outskirts of marrakech to a liquor shop to buy all the alcohol for 45 people at lunchtime instead of getting ready for my wedding and chilling, but hey ho…all part of the experience||We then arrived for our celebration at 5pm, expecting the band to be greeting our guests , candles, cocktails…everything that was agreed 3 days earlier. there was nothing ready. the band arrived after us and our guests. the guests had no drinks until after about 45 minutes and us asking repeatedly. There was not one candle anywhere in the building for the whole event. And…they had setup for our celebration on the roof in a completely diffetent area than we agreed 3 days earlier….so in my wedding suit i’m moving tables and chairs to the correct area||Stressful, stressful and stressful||Our celebration event started an hour late, which resulted in family photos in the dark, then everything else was late. myself and my wife did not get any food because everything else was running so late. ||And then at the end of the night i was greeted by a bill almost double what i was expecting, and stressful negotiations …just what you want on your wedding night. i got some unjustifiable costs removed ( like a 30% increase in the per head food price agreed 6 months earlier), but ended up paying other additional costs, as i didn’t want a big argument on my wedding night. if it hadn’t been my wedding night id have pushed back further ||As said, we did have fun overall, as there were some bit of the entertainment that were done well, we had a great bunch of chilled guests etc, and we don’t want to focus on the chaos…but if we look at the details it was pretty bad. ||And the day after, i received a message asking me to tip people…after them being disorganised, late and charging me lots of extra money which was not agreed and caused a lot of stress, i did not feel that was appropriate although i do feel bad for the staff. There were some staff there who i think were good but let down by poor and greedy management and poor planning. i hope management tipped them out of the extra money they charged me. 🫤||Defo would not recommend for an event. we didn’t stay there so i can’t comment...

Read moreWe stumbled upon The Terrace restaurant within this hotel, a week ago when the restaurant we thought we had booked, was closed! ||There are 3 terraces to chose from, great views across the city and the staff were excellent. ||Aimad, the assistant manager, in particular was very amiable, knowledgeable and friendly - making recommendations about the dishes and adding interesting tit bits of info about the dishes and Marrakesh throughout our evening. He was delightful. ||The food was very nice (although one of the more pricey places we visited on our 3 night trip) with one massive bonus being they served alcohol during Ramadan - the only place we found. ||We were treated extremely well and when I ordered some mint tea at the end of the meal, it was accompanied by an array of biscuits - which Aimad suggested we take away the spares with us. He made up a little doggy bag for us and also gave us a short tour of the stunning hotel - a real...
