STAY AWAY! Unfortunately, the only nice thing about the hotel was the morning front desk gentleman that was very helpful, informative and kind.

Where to begin. The man that did the check-in also checked us out and was not pleasant. When we arrived I said, "Hello, we have a reservation." His response was, "I know." Well ok, sorry for trying to check-in. When we checked out the same gentleman said we needed to pay an addtional 857 MAD. Informed him it was incorrect because we prepaid everything via Expedia. Showed him receipt of paid itinerary and bank charge. Still demanded we pay. After arguing back and forth he called his "boss." I told them they needed to call Expedia to fix and rudely responded that I needed to. At this point, we have to go, to make our flight. I tell him I have to go. Then he says that is fine but we owe 60 MAD. I answer the only thing I owe according to reservation is 44.76 MAD for taxes. He begins to argue again and I inform him I will pay 50 MAD but continues to demand more money. At that point we left. We had a flight to catch.

First, night. I couldn't stop itching in bed. We dusted the bed and reoved top comforter and layered on clothing. Second night I didn't feel like the bed was eating me. After reading reviews, hope I don't take bed bugs as others home.

The room smells like mildew. There is no shower curtain so the water comes out into the restroom and sits in corner floor. The towels were old and ripping. It seems they tried to update the place by adding grafiti to the walls. ugly addition to a historic building that is beautiful. We did not receive breakfast any of the days we were there. They begin serving too late if you're trying to get out early. Other places we stayed at in Morroco started at 7am. I booked this because of location and Expedia giving them higher star rating than they deserved. There are nice and CHEAPER places around the Medina. Go elsewhere. I do not like giving complaints because I go in expecting a different level of service in other countries. HOWEVER, this place was a nightmare. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the headache and don't...

We were a small group with a 3-night reservation, confirmed and made well in advance. When we arrived we discovered that there were no rooms available for us. We had not been warned in advance, and no effort whatsoever had been made for an alternative arrangement. This was a busy weekend in the city, and we ended up in a very large & expensive touristy/family establishment outside the city at our own expense. In addition, two of our group were very sick with food poisoning, so waiting around while we searched (desperately!) for other rooms, and then all the walking to/from the hotel, was close to torture. Exceedingly uncomfortable. ||When we came on the second night we were given our rooms, but there was another guest who had been displaced to accommodate our group, and we found her desperately looking for a room. Atrocious behaviour on the part of the hotel owner/management. In addition, although our main group was accommodated in the "Maison du Tresor", one group member was separated from us and sent over to the Hotel du Tresor, and she ended up with bedbug bites (I saw the effect of the bites myself), so the previous person who complained of bedbugs was not alone, and clearly no action had been taken in the meantime. ||I travel widely and I have never before been subjected to such treatment. I do not recommend staying at either of the establishments owned by...

This hotel is a total SCAM please AVOID at all costs if you don't want to have the worst possible memories of Marrakech! First of all the location they put on their website/booking.com is very misleading. I was brought to a different hotel 10 minutes walk from the place where I arrived. We then were showed a room that looked COMPLETELY different from the one in the pictures. We thought we were buying into a chic boutique hotel with tasteful decorations and furniture but we actually were showed a super tacky modern room completely different from the pictures. Once we notified the staff they were super rude and unapologetic and showed us other rooms that were even worst in particular one that looked like a prison with twin beds. They then agreed for us to have a refund or a 15 euros discount in case we would have wanted to stay but we were so angry by their attitude that we decided to leave and book another place sure that they would have refunded us. Second scam is when we find out from booking.com is that we have to pay in full for the night we haven't spent there, even after having had confirm from them of refund. Please don't go to this horrible place run by...

You want an immersive trip to Marrakech and the souks and save real money during your stay? Look no further, go to this hotel! We had a very nice stay in the Hotel du Tresor. We drove via taxi to the hotel; Othman picked us up to lead us to the hotel. He also took care of us during our stay and made sure we got variation during our breakfast. On our flight to Marrakech our luggage got lost and we had a lot of back and forth with the airport to get it; during all this we were supported by Mehdi, wo called the airport on our behalf multiple times. He also gave us very good recommendations for restaurants and places to go. But most importantly: he gave incredible tips for negotiating taxi fares and product prices in the souks. Those tips alone saved us at least 100-200 € over the course of our stay. We would never have negotiated as low as that. It really pays to have insider information and Mehdi's support was invaluable in that regard. All in all: highly recommended! 5/5, would go again.

A FUIR ABSOLUMENT 👍

We stayed for 4 nights in this riad. It’s perfectly positioned - easy walk to the square and the Medina. Quiet at night - unless someone decides to sit in the central courtyard to talk. The Jade room is the best - lots of natural light, privacy and good AC. It’s up two flights of narrow stairs, so consider that. We tried the breakfast on the first day but the service was so slow and the food wasn’t worth the wait so we ate out. The rooms were clean and spacious. If you book direct and offer to pay cash you can get a room for €85 a night.
