Maison Do — the worst experience of our entire trip in Morocco.
My family and I traveled across the country: from the Sahara to the coast, staying in all kinds of places — from simple village inns to cozy oceanfront hotels. Everywhere we were greeted warmly and respectfully. But Maison Do in Marrakech was a complete disappointment.
👉 We stayed in a suite.
One morning, we came for breakfast with our child — and faced total absurdity.
🔹 The hotel has more than 15 rooms, but breakfast is served at one communal table that fits no more than 3–4 families at a time. All seats were taken. 🔹 When we asked where we could have breakfast, the staff member just waved toward the table and walked away. 🔹 We were left standing in the sun with our child, waiting for a spot to free up.
When we finally sat down, we were served: – 4 thin pancakes – some bread – butter – 3 peaches – coffee, tea, juice, milk
Other guests had jam on their table — but we weren’t given any. We had to ask for it.
When we calmly and politely expressed our dissatisfaction, instead of apologizing, the staff member said, “I’m just a worker, go to the managers,” in a very rude and irritated tone, then started muttering something rudely in Arabic.
Later the manager came over and apologized, but the impression was already ruined.
📌 We are not picky guests. We really have something to compare with. Maison Do looks beautiful in photos, but behind the scenes — chaos, disrespect to guests, and no organization.
We won’t go for breakfast the next day. Also, the soundproofing...

All in all, we had a fabulous week, one extra thing that would be lovely on the rof terrace, would be potted plants, that smell, of the area,...
Read moreWe stayed here in April 2019 as a family of 4, my children are 7 and 10. Our taxi struggled to find it but he called the owner and she gave him directions and met us in a square and helped with our bags. We were welcomed into a beautiful Riad and showed to our room. The owner Yolande was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. ||||At times my children found central Marrakech a bit too hectic, but whenever we returned to Maison Do we always found it calm, quiet and relaxing. The room was a good size for a family and our children had 2 individual beds. My wife and I found the double bed very comfortable. ||||Breakfast was lovely, with freshly squeezed orange juice, bread and a different egg-based pancake, muffin etc every day. ||||Yolande was more than happy for us to leave our bags in the property on the last day until the afternoon and booked us a taxi. She returned to meet us and say goodbye at the taxi. A fabulous experience at an excellent price.||||Tips: ||It's worth getting Yolande to book you a taxi to/from the airport. Most couldn't find Maison Do and were all much more expensive.||The Riad is in the middle of the central area of the medina, down some side streets. We did find these intimidating at times. Nothing serious but just be cautious.||There are 2 Riads here and we strayed at Masion Do which didn't have a pool on the roof. The roof terrace was lovely though with...
