We had a wonderful experience staying at MonRiad. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a glass of the famous Moroccan mint tea, a gesture that immediately set the tone for a relaxing stay.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with traditional Moroccan decor that made each corner feel cozy and authentic. Our room was the perfect example of this, furnished with beautiful Moroccan items that added a unique touch. It felt like we were experiencing true Moroccan culture with all the comforts of a home away from home.
Every morning, we enjoyed a delicious homemade breakfast in the peaceful patio area—a beautiful way to start the day. The hospitality was wonderful; the staff were always smiling and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed.
The location of the Riad couldn’t be more convenient, right in the heart of the Medina, making it easy to explore Marrakech on foot. Whether it was visiting the bustling souks or iconic landmarks, everything was just a short walk away.
One of our favorite parts was the rooftop, offering stunning panoramic views of the city, especially at sunset. Watching the sun go down from there was an unforgettable experience and added so much magic to our stay.
If you’re looking for an authentic and welcoming place to stay in Marrakech, I highly recommend MonRiad for its traditional aesthetic, excellent hospitality, and prime location in the heart...
Read moreThis Riad is gorgeous and we got warmly welcomed with an extensive explanation of the area, but there were some little dissappointments which are worth mentioning, because I think it could be easily prevented and it would have made our stay even more pleasant.
One example is that we got woken up in the middle of the night, by the doorbell that kept ringing. Everything that is going on downstairs, is audible in the rooms.
Another example is that we booked a trip to Ouzoud and we were told that this was 25 euros pp, but when we got there, we heard that the tourguide and lunch were not included, so we had to pay for this separately and we didn't have enough cash on us. It would have been nice if they had told us beforehand, at the Riad.
We also booked a cookingclass which was very lovely. We would get the recipes by e-mail, but I didn't receive anything until I asked them a month later.
Lastly, we were driven to the airport at 7.30 in the morning an we were told that we would get breakfast beforehand. This is a very nice service, but when we got downstairs, we had to wake the desk-worker and he then started on our breakfast. This was pretty awkward.
Overall it was still a solid 4 stars, but it could have...
