I stayed at Riad La vie for 2 nights in September 2023. All communication was done through email, which I was contacted by the owner; Izdi who was so helpful prior to my upcoming stay. I booked the standard deluxe double, but Izdi said the reservation came through as a twin but I emailed to request a double bed so she kindly gave me a complimentary upgrade to the Agadir room, so thank you very much for that. :) I was also asked by Izdi if I wanted a hard or soft mattress, I didn’t mind and Izdi was able to answer any questions that I had before my arrival, regarding sahara tours, airport transfers and general info about the riad. ||I had arranged an airport transfer with Riad La vie, upon arrival at Marrakech airport, I did worry if the driver was coming as I had to wait around for some time finding the driver. He didn’t speak good English but luckily I know some French so tried to speak French with the driver ha. When I had arrived at the riad, the driver had to stop on the busy main road, then had to walk to the riad as cars cannot access the riad. Some other guy took me to the riad and kindly helped me with my luggage. ||The riad is well located, just outside the medina within walking distance to the main Jemaa Al Fnaa square and other attractions such as Bahia palace, Badi palace and Koutoubia. I found the area to be quite safe, there was a currency exchange nearby in case you need to exchange some dirhams, plenty of places to eat, the riad is located just inside one of the side streets from the main street. ||Upon entering the riad, I was warmly greeted by a man who worked there, the room was ready at check in and he helped me carry my luggage to my room. My room was located on the top floor, I did notice that there was no lift and lots of stairs especially to get to the top floor. If you have any mobility issues, please be mindful with this, but it wasn’t a problem for me. When I reached the top, I was quite impressed with the open spaces, decor of the riad and I liked the view overlooking the main focal point on the main ground floor. There was also an open terrace with lovely views. When I entered my room, it was very nice, clean, modern and I liked the Moroccan touches such as the pouffe, tiles, carpet, décor etc. Room was well equipped with towels, robes, air con was working and wifi. I did notice that there wasn’t a television but I think that’s part of the charm of not having one, so my time in the room was very quiet. But that wasn’t an issue as I just played some music on my phone connected to the wifi. After a day of exploring, I returned back to my room in the evening. I was greeted by a different member of staff, a kind gentleman; Othman, who was one of the night staff. Since I was only staying for 2 days, I wanted to take advantage of the facilities and used the pool in the main reception. I found the waters to be quite cold in there, it was not deep and Othman kindly helped me take some photos by the pool as per my request because I was travelling alone. There was also a Hamman but I didn't use it as didn't have time but I would give it a try if I was to stay here again. As time passed, I got talking to Othman on several occasions and he suggested where to go in Marrakech. He was very nice and accommodating during my stay. He offered me some mint tea, prepared my breakfast for the next day and when I needed something, such as when I found the pillows to be very big, he offered to bring me a smaller pillow to make sleeping more comfortable. On the 2nd and final night of my stay, unfortunately I was not able to have the included breakfast for the next day as I had to leave very early for the Sahara desert tour. So I asked the staff if they could pack me some items to takeaway. Othman kindly gave me some breakfast items to take out and he also kindly carried my luggage and walked me to the meeting point of my bus in Jemma el Fina, that took me to the Sahara desert. | |May I kindly say a big thank you to Izdi, Samira, the team and especially to Othman for their kindness, generosity and warm hospitality. I highly recommend them all at this riad, so please have a look out for them if you come to stay here. 😊 Overall, I had a very good stay and would definitely consider this riad again for their excellent service, decor and...

I just returned to Chicagoland after a 4-day getaway to Marrakech, Morocco, and let me tell you—Riad La Vie is hands down the place to stay if you want an unforgettable experience!
From the moment I arrived, I was treated like royalty. The riad is ideally located just steps away from the main shopping street and the central square—no taxis needed, which is a huge plus when navigating the medina!
But what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional hospitality. The staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in making your stay special. I have specific dietary restrictions, and they not only accommodated every request, but also took the initiative to prepare special meals and even packed supplemental food for my day trips. They remembered my preferences and needs without having to be reminded—true five-star service.
They were also extremely knowledgeable about the area, happy to offer tips, help me fine-tune my basic Arabic, and even assist with catching taxis when needed. Their attitude was always "yes"—no request felt like too much. Their pride in hosting guests was evident and heartwarming.
Riad La Vie also features a beautiful spa with traditional Hammam and massage services, delivered by warm and professional staff. It was an immersive cultural experience that left me refreshed and relaxed.
The rooftop is a serene space to watch the sunrise or sunset over Marrakech, with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains in the distance. It's the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring.
Security was another major plus—at no point did I feel uneasy. The property is well-secured, and all of my belongings remained completely safe.
All in all, if you're visiting Marrakech and want a stress-free stay where you’re taken care of yet still immersed in the local culture, Riad La Vie is THE place to be. I can’t...
Read moreA beautiful Riad nestled inside the hustling & bustling Medina. Nicely tucked away on a quiet street. The entrance of the riad is grand with a beautiful big golden door. Inside you will find yourself lost in the beauty and intricate designs. As soon as you enter, your are welcomed with mint tea and cookies, making you feel comfortable and settle down. The staff is what makes this place beyond amazing, they are there for you every hour of the day & night helping you and taking care of your needs. Food here is a must try, the house chef is a great cook. We traveled whole Morocco and we thought her Harira soup was the best we had. Rooftop is amazing with great views. Lahcen the front desk guy really deserves extra kudos, he’s been super helpful to us and guided us through our trip. Helped us make reservations at hotels for dinner. Gave us really good details on what to see and what not see. Not to mention the night time guy was so kind that he organized a surprise birthday cake at last minute request, offered his own YouTube and hooked it up with speakers and we had a great celebration on the rooftop at night, which was incredibly beautiful. As I said, the staff is what makes this place so much more better. We also took the guided walking tour offered as a service by the Riad which was again organized at the minute by Lahcen (he’s truly an incredible guy). Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and we enjoyed our tour. The Riad also offers free Hamam and message which we really enjoyed. Overall, 10/10. Thank you for making our...
