All of the good reviews for this place do not make sense. Upon arriving they brought me to a room that wasn’t close to what I had booked based on online photos. It was a very small bare white room; he asked if I would be willing to stay one night in that room and they would change me to the one advertised the following day. Then I lifted the sheets to immediately see fleas and walked out. I told the desk clerk I wouldn’t be staying with them. He then offered me the room I originally booked based on photos. Then he turned the light on in that room and 3 roaches scattered, I groaned and made a face and he was like “I will clean, just at least see the bathroom as well. When he turned the light on in the bathroom more roaches scattered on both the floor and walls and he even said “Oh man” knowing it was a serious problem. There were feral cats all throughout the riad some of which in heat letting out loud calls. I am a full time traveler and have stayed in very humble places in 3rd world areas. This was the most unsanitary place...
Read moreThere are signs pointing the way to the riad, which is very helpful. Set in a quiet neighborhood a few minutes walk from the Medina, the riad is spacious and light. The staff are always attentive, helpful, and friendly 24 hours a day. They speak, French, Arabic, and English and are very hospitable and adaptable to your needs. The riad is lovely, ground and first floors have rooms located around the two central courtyards, one with the pool and the other with an outside dining area shaded by orange trees, and their is a rooftop terrace, with relaxing sofas in shaded areas, tables, and recliners. The color scheme is beautiful and the riad has an authentic charm, being nice enough to feel comfortable and classy, but not overly "hotel-like". Prices are correct, and I found them cheaper when booked directly on their site. Moroccan Breakfast is included, including coffee, tea, several kinds of traditional Moroccan breads, fruit salad, eggs, jams, and juice. Overall, very satisfied with our stay and definitely...
Read moreMy partner and I stayed at Riad Chamali. We got picked up straight from the airport to the riad, we were welcomed with moroccan tea and some bread. The stay was very clean, great friendly usefull staff, peaceful, relaxing and lovely food. Our room was cosy, and the cleaners always came in to make the bed and clean the bin. I would 100% come back, and recommend this riad to anyone visiting the city. I would totally recommend staying in the medina rather than outside the city!! As it realy makes you connect with the people of marrakech. The taxi pick up, and drop off is very convenient, and good price.||Overall, Riad Chamali is a brillant place to stay either with friends, a significant other or even alone! You have only a 10 min walk to the Souks, and plenty of food places around!! You also get the luxury of a private pool on ground floor and rooftop terrace to chill and soak up the sun. Very very satisfied with my first experience of Marrakech, it wouldn’t have been possible without the...
