Riad Maison H Kasbah — Hotel in Marrakesh Prefecture

Big potential, but ruined. Went here with my partner a while ago, she booked us into this Riad however it was a bit unsettling how the manager was behaving and it ruined the experience of us.

Positives : The Riad was close to the center which was super convenient and everything was close by.

Enjoyed the service from the employees though, super helpful, hard working, positive vibes and fun to talk with.

Employees even helped us navigate the city and think of ways to enjoy ourselves outside of Riad/Riad activities.

Rooftop is a really cozy vibe, i used to grab a drink/coffee and enjoy the sunset and converse with my wife.

Negatives: I enjoyed my stay as I've had employees/receptionist on me the whole time attending to my needs, but was threw me off is how the manager was handling her employees, and how bland and dry her service was, It really seemed that the young manager really was not formally trained to handled this type of position.

Activities really felt like a total cash grab, the way the manager handled the conversation via WhatsApp was super vague and the prices were really inflated compared to Riads we went to before for no reason, we got charged for the smallest stuff even something like a scarf to protect our eyes from the dust we had to pay for, not even protective gear was free, felt a bit scammed by this tbh.

Whenever our dissatisfaction was obvious she would try to almost bribe us by offering a drink/tea.... Crazy how such a beautiful Riad would be ruined by such an individual.

I've been to Morocco a bunch of times, i do know a liiiittle bit of Darija as they call it, when she swaps languages to Darija and it sounds super disrespectful and unprofessional, they really don't expect foreigners to know their native language in some of these tourist attractions, so you get to see a bit of the inner workings...

Small note but it seems like the employees work insanely long shifts, maybe they get payed well?

Even with the curtains on, the rooms are too bright.

AC malfunctioned and beeps a whole lot, couldn't sleep.

WiFi is too slow.

Overall, our stay is fine but weird, i was personally expecting way better management, and that young woman especially was super unsettling for me. I've spoken to other customers when i was there and they seemed to agree about the inflated pricing and cash...

POOR VALUE FOR THE MONEY. WE PAID FOR A DELUXE ROOM WITH PATIO ON THE GROUND FLOOR — GOT A DIRTY, OUTDATED & WRONG ROOM!!! Unacceptable & MISLEADING. Photos attached.

🚩The room we booked? Never received it. We were given a completely different room — no patio, different layout, nothing like the photos. It was dirty, worn down, and falling apart.

🚩The host/property manager admitted it was the wrong room but refused to fix it, claiming Booking.com for the mistake. No effort to help - No solution offered - No apology & Zero empathy.

🚩 Booking.com? Their “solution”- €20/MAD 20 on credit. That’s it.

🚩 Also, for the last two days of our stay, we were disturbed by loud construction noise from works being carried out inside the Riad during the daytime. No warning, no notice — making it impossible to sleep or relax.

It’s very clear this property does not care about guests’ comfort, satisfaction, or/and complaints.
