Wanna buy a time share in Morocco?
I actually might give these people 4*, but only for sales techniques!
OMG 😯 they usher groups of tourists in buses in to private rooms where they (sell) teach you about the benefits of argan oil and now the 10x better prickly pear oil.
They shut you in a room, they sell! Feel, sample, touch, joke. These are the health benefits...
They are "government controlled" prices, but nobody seems to notice the issue with "free gifts" in this scheme.
The soap is $7 a bar, but buy 3 and we'll give you one for free. $21 for 4 soaps, a bargain!
Prickly pear oil is $120- seriously 😳 but don't worry. We'll give you a small vial of Argan oil as a free gift. Want to buy 3, we'll give you a deal.
They sell the products by asking people to raise their hands after the presentation and then they put them in your shopping basket on your lap!
Group think, peer pressure. If he's buying it, I guess I should too.
Of $120 is too much for the prickly pear oil, we have a smaller container at the $80 price point, don't worry!
Before they send you down to the cashier where they tabulate the sales per (your tour guide, who has likely been soft selling the benefits of these products for several days) "agent" so they can get in on the "profit $haring" ha ha 🤣
You can get the certified argan and other products at convenience stores. Folks, do a little research before you're sold...

The whole thing is more of a show - they present and explain how to tell the difference between high- and low-quality argan oil, prickly pear oil, and saffron. The people speaking wear white coats as part of the performance to make it look more reputable. The products are sold through a presentation - you raise your hand for what you want, and they hand it to you. Of course, before that they’ve demonstrated and let you test everything - a guy walks around applying different products on your hand. I’m quite skeptical about such places, as the products are often sold at much higher “tourist” prices and have...
Read moreUPDATE, after 7 months: I have used this cactus oil consistently now and have no noticeable effects or improvements from it. It was a waste of money. Review: We were taken here as part of a tour. The presentation is polished and our tour guide recommended this place. However, I bought the "most expensive oil in the world": cactus oil for $80 USD for a small bottle. I found out during my time in Morocco that I paid twice the price I could have. I hope it is real. Please don't buy here, use the visit as entertainment, but buy directly from locals (Berbers) in the Atlas Mountains (if you go for a hike you will probably come across them) as they are honest...
