La Sultana in Marrakech offers an unforgettable dining experience within the grandeur of a beautifully restored mansion. While we only visited the restaurant, the hotel itself looks equally stunning and is worth exploring.
Having lunch here was a highlight of our trip. The authentic Moroccan cuisine was a treat, with food quality, taste, and presentation all exceeding expectations. The staff were polite, attentive, and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable.
The building itself is a masterpiece, meticulously maintained and renovated to showcase its traditional charm while offering modern comfort. The interior design is absolutely breathtaking; walking through its various sections felt like a journey back in time. Every corner of this magnificent place is worth seeing, so take your time to soak in the beauty.
Situated in the heart of Marrakech’s old Medina, La Sultana is conveniently located within walking distance of many tourist attractions and the bustling old market. We were lucky to have a rooftop table with a lovely view of the old town and the charming narrow streets that surround the building. The shaded seating made it comfortable even under the midday sun.
However, accessibility might be challenging for those with mobility issues. The building has many stairs, and the washrooms are not easily reachable. This is understandable given the historical nature of the property but is worth noting for future visitors.
Overall, La Sultana combines exquisite Moroccan flavors, exceptional service, and a stunning setting. Whether you visit for a meal or a stay, it’s an experience you’ll cherish. Highly...
Read moreThis place is overrated. It’s extremely overpriced, especially the alcoholic drinks. Cocktails and wine cost MAD 190 (around €18) per glass, which is outrageous for the quality. The cocktail tasted like flavored water from a spa, completely underwhelming. Everything is overpriced for what you get, even though the service was ok and the environment was nice with live music.
To top it off, bugs and flies ended up in my friend’s glass of water. While the waiter brought a new glass, we were still charged for an extra bottle of sparkling water instead of being compensated, absolutely not what you’d expect from a place with such...
