My wife and I choose to have dinner here based on the number of positive reviews. We found all the positive remarks to be justified. We got there about sunset and were the first diners there so we had an opportunity to pick the best table for 2 on the Terrace which was nicely decorated. We were warmly welcomed by the waiter who did an excellent job making sure we received our food as soon as it was ready and making sure we had enough of everything. We ordered the couscous with 3 kinds of meat, salad, and dessert. We were happy with both the taste, quantity, and price. By the time we left, the restaurant was much busier. Finding the entrance took a little effort since you have to go down a very short alley and up some stairs from a main street. But the effort is definitely worth it. Just look for the menu from the main street which is prominently hanging on the wall. Also, note that this is a cash...
Read moreBelieve the reviews. Roof top terrace, incredibly calm and serene atmosphere despite the hustle and bustle on the street below, a great view of the mosque tower. The waiter (Mohammed) was just brilliant, sincerely friendly and attentive, the drinks were ice cold and the food…… well it was just top rate - the kitchen is visible through a window so you can see the chef and her team making your dishes from scratch, the portions were huge for the price, and incredibly authentic. We shared a briwattes starter, then had a sardine tagine (that came with cous cous) and a bowl of lamb cous cous with heaps of vegetables and a side sauce, and with two drinks each, the bill was MAD370 (just over £30) - unbelievable value for money.
Take note, the entrance is up a little side street and you’d be mistaken for thinking they weren’t open, so make sure to go up all the...
Read moreGlorious setting, on a peaceful rooftop above the hustle and bustle of the souk. Mohamed went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. We had the trio of salads to start, with a kefta tagine and breaded fish as mains, then a delicious creme brûlée to finish. Everything was presented beautifully and tasted fantastic. Mohamed even offered us a complimentary mint tea after our meal, which he explained was made his traditional Tunisian way, with green tea and a little less sugar. They’ve only been re-open 11 days since closing when the pandemic hit, so please support this restaurant and you won’t be disappointed. Only a 5-10 minute walk from the main...
