Riad Mama — Hotel in Marrakesh Prefecture

Easily the best tagine in Marrakech, & a brilliant place to stay

When we first arrived, we met a guest in reception who said he was a very frequent visitor of Marrakech and chose to only ever stay at Riad Mama, whose Tagine was better than any other restaurant. My partner and I now 100% agree!

The staff were absolutely lovely, the rooms were clean and beautiful, and the tagine was by FAR the best out of any other restaurants we tried, including those both at the higher price range and those more affordable.

Riad Mama’s breakfast is a traditional small but sweet one (pancakes with honey, fruit, cakes etc), and then for dinner we bought our own drinks onto the rooftop at sunset, while we ate the amazing food in an idyllic setting.

Riad Mama’s top quality - its staff ! The personnel is so kind and helpful, very professional, very available, they would do anything to improve your experience. They leave the impression that they truly love hospitality. Second top quality - the cleanliness and neat decoration of the riad, every corner is perfect, there is great taste and relationship to art in the decoration. Third top quality - the location, very very close to the main square and central landmarks.

Nevertheless, I have to say that the riad’s rooms are overall quite small, as well as the bathrooms, unless you really buy a deluxe one.
