Read moreLocation - Very good with a short walking distance to Djemaa El Fnaa. Bad points it is situated within very narrow alleys so cars cannot get through. Taxi would stop at nearby car park and would have to walk two minutes to Riad. It can be very easy to get lost in the small passages as they all look very similar. Some locals would help to get you back on track, however there are some local drunks who loiter around telling you a route is closed so they can re-direct you in exchange for some money at the end. After a few times you get used to the room.
Riad - Generally clean and presentable. We had a huge bathroom with constant HOT water available however there was a foul smell sometimes coming from our bathroom unsure if that was a drainage issue. We had an issue with our safe deposit box and they told us they would resolve the day after but there was no fix. We had three rooms so we were able to use the other safes. Modern AC unit and smart TV (ours didn’t work as the aerial was cut but worked in other rooms).
Breakfast - Quite limited compared to other hotels we have stayed at, same kind of food everyday.
Staff - Really friendly and welcoming, always catered and assisted us to the best of their ability. They allowed us to check out late.
Overall, I would stay here again even though some of the other riads close by are a...
Read moreGorgeous, small riad with real charm. The guest room smelled wonderful. Plush bathrobe and hand towels. Rose petals on the bed, nightstand, sink, and toilet cover. Shower had strong, hot water. The guest room has high ceilings, beige stone floors (with rugs) and walls. Large, comfy firm bed (took up whole room - very narrow path between end of bed and wall facing courtyard). A large window faces the courtyard. All rooms surround the small court yard with a square pool and fountain. There are tables around courtyard for hanging out. There is a inside balcony, overlooking the courtyard, around the second floor landing (outside of guest rooms). The riad has a lovely large rooftop terrace with lounge chairs and regular chairs. ||||Sweet and helpful staff - one staff member even arranged to have her own henna artist come to our hotel.||||For breakfast, things were put out in the pantry. Only instant coffee and some packaged teas at first, although they brought fresh coffee out later. Dried fruit, olives, various breads/croissant/muffins (not freshly baked), overripe bananas, cold cuts, sliced cheese, fresh melon juice. I sat in the courtyard by the pool, which was nice. Loud birds...
