I ordered 1 special dish Marco style which is like samosa, risotto King prawn, and lasagna. All the food is delicious, according to the price. But when I ate the last bite a slice of cherry tomatoes I feel something hard and cracking sound and I could feel taste of blood. I took out the slice of tomato I tried to bite and what I found Shocked me small piece of hard glass.... I call the waiter and told him, what I found in my food. First he like doesn't believe me. Even after I showed him the picture that I took when the food arrived. What the offer me as a compensation Is 1 dessert for free, which I tried to reject but he convinced me. I order the chocolate pudding but I couldn't finish it because we're full. What's disappointing me is the staff not really care if me or my son is OK after I bite those glass and still said it's not their fault, they didn't feel sorry and still said that impossible that happen in their kitchen. I still pay and even gave them tips. What I asking is not a free food. But at least pay some attention or even asking if I'm OK after bite those glass. Ps. Can see those glass is in there. And the dessert they offer to me for free as a compensation.

Pepe Nero is hands down one of the best restaurants we’ve ever visited, not just in Marrakech but anywhere! The location itself is stunning—beautiful architecture, a peaceful courtyard, and a magical ambiance that sets the tone for a perfect evening. But what truly made our visit unforgettable was Mr. Rabie. He is an absolute legend—real salt of the earth! From the moment we arrived, he made us feel so welcome and at ease. He was chatty, kind, and genuinely interested in making sure we had the best experience possible. Nothing was too much trouble, and he took so much time to check in with us throughout the evening to make sure everything was perfect. The food? Impeccable. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed full of flavor—easily one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. But what made it even more special was Mr. Rabie’s attentive and warm service. It felt like being looked after by an old friend. If you’re in Marrakech and want an incredible dining experience, look no further than Pepe Nero. And if you’re lucky enough to be served by Mr. Rabie, you are in for a treat. We’ll be back for sure. Absolutely recommend!

We didn’t have a reservation but decided to see if we get get a table for two. At the reception the waiter informed us we can have a table but we would need to be finished at 9pm as the restaurant was fully booked. We said that was no problem at all and we would be no longer than an hour, also it was only just after 7pm so there was plenty of time to enjoy our dinner.

The waiter serving us was very nice. I ordered the salmon steak with vegetables and my partner had fillet of beef with vegetables. Both meals arrived and they were delicious! The food was amazing! We also had a dessert of Saffron crème brûlée. That also was delicious.

This is now where things got bad! We asked for our bill and we waited for 10 mins and still no bill. I then asked our waiter again and he gestured it will be soon. 5 mins later no bill snd I asked again. Then the initial man who we spoke to when we entered came to our table and told us we need to go before 9pm. I informed him we are waiting patiently for our bill. I then told him it is 8pm and it was totally unacceptable for him to have had to say this. Besides we have been asking for the bill and waiting patiently. He then said sorry and said he meant to say we can stay longer if we want. I said again it was a shame he said this as the meal was lovely. The manager then came to our table and was very apologetic to us. We accepted the apology.

Such a shame as the food...

The place is quite beautiful and very spacious. The scenery is charming and the restaurant is located inside a large Riad. We were seated in a patio under nice orange trees. Apart from that, everything was wrong. They have 2 menus, one for the Moroccan food and one for the Italian. We were a party of 6 and the waiter didn't provide enough menu for us. We had to swap around. A lot of the items on the menus were out of stock, which is understandable, but we were notified only once we ordered, there was some serious miscommunication between the waiters and the kitchen staff. Our party ordered drinks and we were left hanging there for a while, once the drinks arrived, they didn't provide neither bread nor butter not even some olives while we waited for the food. I'm not sure about the house policy on that part, but when you are in this price range, and about to make your client wait... And the wait was excruciating. About 45mins to receive the food. The meals then arrived 2 by 2, with a 5min delay between them. Overall it tasted low tier, the salmon was dry and vegetables overcooked, and the lamb wasn't really a méchoui. The restaurant's pricing and position makes no sense with this offering. We were quite disappointed and I would that the price/quality ratio...
